Roland
Is there anyone who knows what commands can be entered into the Additional Parameters box to enable other game options?
Guppycur
You mean like -force-d3d11and the like?
Roland
Yeah...(I guess) and, also, what the command does. So...what does that one do? If it was just nonsense to test me I'm a really easy mark....
herrpohl
Is there anyone who knows what commands can be entered into the Additional Parameters box to enable other game options? Here's a list of command line arguments for unity with explanations (under Options and further down below). Not sure if they all work with 7D2D, but there's also the -force-d3d11 command that Guppy mentioned.
Alloc
herrpohl's link is the covering most. Though note that this is typically outdated and individual arguments may or may not work with the current builds (or it might be missing newer ones). Also there's the game options, like -dedicated but most won't matter for the client. The only thing I can imagine of any use is -configfile= to override e.g. the savegamedir. Guppycur
How about including a -? command that pops up a text box with all of the available commands for that build?
Alloc
Just to show that there's a -configfile argument? Bit overkill
Guppycur
Hey now, that force direct x command line has helped many a people. Btw, who let you out? Get back to work, a15 is expected tomorrow.
Alloc
Yeah, of course. But that's part of Unity. We can't know what is there and works and what not
Jenshae
Ping This is still the top result for "7dtd additional parameters" and lacks definitive answers.
Alloc
What isn't answered though?
Guppycur
Wow. Memories. So in short, the parameters are unity, not 7days, and are subject to the whims of updates.
Alloc
Well, yeah, most Unity stuff (http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/CommandLineArguments.html), game has just a bunch and most are for interaction with the Steam client. +connect <value> and +password <value> for connecting to a server -configfile=<value> for specifying a serverconfig XML And any -<gameprefname>=<value> to specify GamePref values like you can do with the serverconfig XML
