RWG is not working.

Good day folks, 

 

So basically my RWG is not working. each time i attempt to generate an world it throws up this error (nullreferenceexception object reference not set) and rwg stops. below i will attach an log. 

 

The fixes i have attempted

1. Complete fresh installation of the game. 

2. Use the cleaning tool provided in the launcher to purge all data.

3. Go to %appdata% and delete any 7d2d files there. 

4. Delete registry keys for 7d2d.

5. Used the advanced generator to make the map.

 

playing the game normally on the default map DOES work, the issue is isolated to the generating of new maps. any help is greatly apreciated.

Your error during generation is related to the prefab files. Try deleting your prefabs folder and the verify files 2 times. It should redownload the prefabs. Try generation again.

this actually fixed it, could you explain how you found out the issue was there? im in an discord with some modders who couldnt crack the issue. might help in the future

If you carefully read the error message, it says it happend in the PrefabLoader while loading prefabs: "NullReferenceException: [...] at WorldGenerationEngineFinal.PrefabLoader.LoadPrefabs".

So, some prefabs where either damaged or not vanilla (or both). Something like that. ;)
