Help! Getting Kicked from all EAC PRE-GEN map servers due to Invalid files, "could not load prefab files skipping"

HI guys, So i recently wanted to jump back into 7 days to die after getting a new gaming PC (i haven't played since alpha 16) but something is seriously wrong with Alpha 20, i cant join any EAC Pre-Gen map servers cause it kicks me over invalid files, I've tried EVERYTHING under the sun to resolve this issue, check firewalls, ports, admin access, verify files with steam, clean all old files with 7dtd launcher and more, i could try to wipe and reinstall but with my net it will take awhile and i doubt it will fix anything. It gives me well over a hundred errors for prefab files that say could not load skipping, sometimes i make it into the server but get kicked 15 seconds later. Its really gonna suck if i have to give this game up, it even does it on single player 8k pre-gen maps, i get loaded in but every few steps i make the command console pops up and says error loading prefab block name to ID mapping file missing. try the aggressive approach as pointed out in the pic i provide and then manually check the locations to delete all folders (empty or not) and then you you should be able to re install and not have any old legacy crap.

 

hopefully the guys here can offer more suggestions.

Check your folder permissions and make sure your antivirus software is not blocking

You have a few things going on. I agree with Unholy Joe and BFT2020. Your access violations are likely due to your antivirus so create an exclusion for your 7 Days folder in your antivirus software. Also check that in your list of installed software, that you have Microsoft Visual C Distributable (2022) installed. You may have multiple versions installed but you need the 2022 version to play 7 Days. So if you do the antivirus and Visual C things and you’re still having issues, post another log file.

Want to emphasize this:  Don't delete the previous versions as other games may still need them to work properly.

yep i last checked i have 3 different versions that were installed for different games. i learned the hard way (do not delete one version thinking the newest one would work on all because they dont) :)

 

but as for the issue at hand... i am feeling (could be wrong) but i think there is old legacy versions of 7dtd that are still installed and was never fully deleted.
