Ive been having connection issues suddenly and I need help! 😭

So I've been playing a few months now with my squad and it's become a go-to game for me rn and I love it. 
But one day my game decided to just.....stop working. 

When I try to join my friends server (our main private server we've been playing on the whole time) it times be out and says "Server ended the connection to the client" 
I'll stay on the main scenery screen for like a minute or so, and it backs me out with a page that says the statement above. She hasn't changed anything in the settings and I was able to join a random public server. I was able to make my OWN server and play but no one could join onto mine.
I have a few techy guys in our squad and we've tried the following: 

- Shutting it on and off
- Shutting computer on and off
- Uninstalling/ Reinstalling
- Verifying the files
- Installing with brand new, starting from scratch files
- Uhm, I'm not sure what it is but he had me go into the control panel and do some things with (%) A word right here with another (%) after that [I'm really sorry, I know nothing about computers] 
- EAC turned on AND off, along with the owner of the server 
- Port Forwarding 
- Some coding with "/configs" [Which was really scary territory for me personally may I add] 
- Our router is only about 4 years old and is a great one, modem as well.
- Firewall on AND off
- Antivirus is just Windows Defender 
- Connected by Ethernet cable
- All other server based games work perfectly fine. 

Started about 4 days ago and I was hoping the new A20 update would fix it but, still no luck. 
We collectively play this in my squad and they don't want to play without me. No matter what I say, they won't budge and I'm desperate at this point. 

Anyone have any ideas??

Alpha 19 worlds and saves are not compatible with A20. You would need to delete all your old data and start a new world.

If you want to continue to play A19.6, you can select it in the "betas" tab in the steam game properties.

Do you want to play Alpha 20 or your previous Alpha 19 game?

Also if you could post a copy of the server log where it shows you trying to connect.....might give some hints there. It's odd that it's only that one server you are having problems with. Maybe a corrupted player save???

Either one that would work but would prefer the A20 since everyone else I play with is on that.

I have noooo idea how to do that unfortunately but I can look it up and try! 
And I know! 
I've had 3 different ppl create brand new worlds and servers on this update and the a19 but none of them work. And tried making different servers set to public but still no luck.

So we did another port forward and it seemed to have gotten us another step closer to a solution. 
We're tried 3 different ppl's world:
- I made a server - A person, B person was able to join but not C 
- C person made a server - A person, B person was able to join but not me.
- D person made a server- A, B, C person was able to join but not me.

Your log says A19, so if your friends are all on A20, that won't work. You need to pick one and everyone get on the same version.

If you want to play A20 all of your a19 data needs to be deleted via the launcher/tools/clean game tab. You can't continue an

A19 save in A20.

Yeah thats the latest one that is showing up in my logs right now but I figured if it was doing the same thing, it wouldnt really be much of a difference between the two. I logged in last night and the latest date showing is still 12/18/2021 and its been about 12 hours since I closed out of the game.

So you are saying you played yesterday but the most recent logfile you can find is the one you posted from 12/18 ?

 

That would be very strange. The most likely cause of this is that you simply overlooked the most recent logfile.

 

Maybe do the following:

1) Go into your games directory and there into "7DaysToDie_Data". Delete all files starting with "output_log".

 

2) Then start the game and make sure you see A20 displayed in the upper right corner. If that is not the case, stop the game, go into the Properties->betas tab of the game in steam and select either "None" for the stable version or "experimental", whatever your friends use, and go back to step 1.

 

3) Try to log into the server your friends set up and if that fails, look into "7DaysToDie_Data" again. There should be exactly one "output_log..." file there, you can't miss it. Post that one through pastebin.
