Pole nerf support and more =)

Hello all 😃

After 150 hrs in alpha 20 ihad some ideas I wanted to pass along. 

 

1. Remove poles and ladders from the block build menu. Make them buildable in the crafting menu. Ladders are already there. That way players could still use them but not make base supports with 5000 hp or more.

 

2. Farming, I agree with the change but I really think the living off the land skill should have a seed percentage chance. Example with 1 point in lotl you'd have a 30% chance of a seed as well as double harvest, at 3 points 90%.

 

3. This one's gonna get push back. I really think the pipe guns should be unlocked by putting a point in thier respective skills. The reason for this is, I myself have no idea how to make a gun that wouldn't explode when I fired it. I just think some research is necessary.

In fairness to reality, no amount of research is going to let you make a revolver or machine gun from a few pipes and glue;).  Same for brass casings which need extraordinarily precise measurements.

And along these lines, no amount of beating on a normal gun safe with an axe made of stone will do enough damage to open it.

 

And there's a very long list of other "don't think about it too much" things like that in just about every game you play that involves crafting/building.
