Fresh install of the game.  Happens right after world is generated and it pops up in a console window.  Can't close the window because the above error keeps opening the console up.  Have to manually end task on the game.   Now I'm going to uninstall the game from Steam, delete every instance of "The Fun Pimps" and "7 Day to Die" from my computer and see if that fixes the problem.    Wish I didn't have to do that for troubleshooting, since the game is 5.63 gb and it's going to take a while to download.

So I'm having the same issue but I don't think I'm deleting everything. I did try the suggested method by @Beelzybub but that didn't seem to work. I have been messing with it for a few days now and can't get the game to work without a bunch of error codes. I uninstalled the game from steam and deleted the information from the "appdata" folder but the issue is still happening. Would I need to delete the mods I've downloaded, their in a separate folder.

I would move them out of the 7D2D folder until I got it running, then put them back in and see what breaks. If they were

from A18, I'd delete them and look for new A19 compatible ones.

If you post your log I'm sure someone can figure out your problem.

What I did was, uninstalled the game, deleted all the files I knew of then re-installed the game. My save game was still there and the settings were still to what I set them at. The game did load with only one error and I was able to close the window. Then I added the mods back in and started doing it again. So I checked my output logs and noticed some failed load attempts on a few mods, I assume this is my issue. I will try a few more things tomorrow and hopefully it fixes the issue.

Ok, so I have been cracking away at it. I've deleted every file, cleared all data of the game files and mods, uninstalled and reinstalled. Tried without mods, It wouldn't load past the loading screen and didn't see an log on it. So then I tried with a few mods (A19 mods), I managed to make it in game but I was right back to square one with the constant error codes that wouldn't close the console window. I did mange to get a log on that, maybe someone could check it out. I don't know what to make of it. Everything loaded properly until a point, this is what I got.

Where it says "FormatException: Empty input string". It repeats that section about 1500 times before I ended the process. Maybe something in unity?

I got it. Ok, so it took a little bit to figure out but it's working. I had to remove everything including mods that weren't A19+ and update all mods that are A19+. The issue was mods, even though on the log it's shows they loaded just fine. Not really sure what that's about but it fixed my issue. I still get alpha errors but thats far in between and I'm sure FP will have that sorted out before to long.

To the next person this happens to(Alpha 19 for PC):
1) Go to Steam - Library - Click 7DTD - Click "Play" (A window will pop up asking if you want to play or Show Game Launcher) - Click "Show Game Launcher".

2) Using the Launcher, click "Tools" then click "Clean Game Data" then confirm all data then click "Ok" and wait for it to finish and close the Launcher.

3) Back on Steam, right on 7DTD on the left hand side of the screen then hover down to "Manage" then click "Browse Local Files".

4) Once that window appears, you'll need to click on "Common" next to 7DTD above all the folders. Should have some arrow icons to the left of that bar. After clicking "Common" you should now see your steam games. Right click "7 Days to die" then click delete, then confirm. With that window still open, click "view" at the top left corner of your screen. After clicking view you'll notice a check box labeled "Hidden Items", click that box to show all hidden items and close the window.

5) Next you need to go to your "appdata" and to do so you'll need to open the according drive which mine is under my C drive. Yours might be on a different drive than mine but you are looking for "Users" folder. Click "Users" then click your account and you should see "appdata" some where in that list.

6) After clicking "appdata" you'll see three folders labeled "Local, LocalLow and Roaming". Click "Local Low" first. Once that opens, right click "The Fun Pimps" and delete it. Once you do so, go back to "appdata"

7) Back at "appdata", click "Roaming", you should see "7DaysToDie" folder, right click that and delete it. Once its delete, you can close the window and go back to Steam.

8 Back on Steam, right click "7DTD" and hover down to manage and click "Uninstall". Let it finish, then re-install.

If you plan on using mods, make sure they have been updated after July 1st for alpha 19.

Thanks for everyone's help 😎

If you had this error, did you have bigger backpack installed by any chance? Obviously it updated in 19 and I had players with the same issue.  But instead of going through all this you mention, I just changed the toolbelt columns to 10 and it was fine for me.

Ultimately A Noob Error on my part for leaving mods active in Experimental, then updating to Stable. Just added here as it may help others, thanks
