  1. Isnt there still some of this? Atleast in A20 there was this one outhouse looking building. I figure i stop in and relief myself and "CRACK" down I went. No Zs were after me and none were down there, but I spent the night with splint on my leg, waiting for daylight so I could find a way out. I was on pins and needles.
  2. True story! Once upon a time, I am working with a chap from across the ocean. Aviation fuel itself is not volitile, but the fumes. Anyways, we are working with open tanks and he asked for a torch. This was back before I started understanding some of the Queen's English and colloquialisms <not sure if using that correctly in context>.
  3. Fancy a fag mate? <--ofSpanishSpeakingTribe......but just use Ingles.
  4. I started when A20 dropped, and have not downloaded/played any of the previous As. I miss the ability to get water from lakes/rivers, etc and bring back to boil..
  5. Is okay, thank you. I will stick with "bucket" mod. It is a "natural" "immersive" progression. Again, I hope that is still doable in the future.
  6. If you get some time on the throne, here is some light reading:
  7. I believe that is a reach on your part, but whatever, maybe I did the same trying to express myself. Best regards.
  8. I am definitely not a min/maxer. The current is way less sandboxy.
  9. Fair enough "fuhgeddaboudit". I hope still mod enabled when all said an done. On that we can agree....hence it would be nice not get funneled, but it is what it is.
  10. I meant with the emphasis that the change brought about, of having to dedicate much much more time, and effort, into looting and much more reliance on the trader.
  11. Was there any consideration to play changes or were those un intended consequences?
  12. I've only played one other late alpha and beta. LoTRO. Granted, much larger team. There was a point in early Beta that it was called "Lord Of The Quests". Mainly you couldnt walk 10 game world feet without tripping into a NPC nagging you about 10 wolves eating their sheep or some such. Then they dialed it back to almost no quests. Same thing with Agro NPCs, etc, etc. They would go to extremes and watch the reaction, and then find peace some where in the middle. However, these cycles were about 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of what was being tested. Silverback or itty bitty fella?
  13. I dont know what is going on, but I had a 10 page post on how to fix the water system in 10 easy steps, in #10 font with a 10 paragraph preamble, and server swallowed it. j/k
  14. I get that a lot too, specially when posting. I thought it was because i am behind a VPN.
  15. So, ASSuming that a change in play style was not the intent, then a method of collecting water not involving trader (yes, I know water filters can be "found" if at all) should be an acceptable solution, no? Unless the play style change was intended, then well "fuhgeddaboudit".
  16. The water Jars, having disappeared from the game, the rogue code has bogged down the forum.
  17. Fair enough. So then the first take of "to make it more in line with" has morphed into 'we are changing play styles', or perhaps it was an "unforseen consequences"? So, once again, it is not about the JARs at all. But is the medium that exposed an underlying issue, whether intended or unintended. Therefor I think we are back to "It sucks, there is a mod for that" "It is TFP's game suck it up or make your own" Unless it was an "unforseen consequences" then would it not benefit TFP to make it part of Vanilla?
  18. I am with you on this one. I just wanted to know what makes a bucket MOD "trivial". You have to craft bucket, go to water source, collect, bring back to camp, boil, then consume. Reads like a process to me. That is fine, hide the bucket in however many gates DevVille wants. Atleast at some point you can have a choice go loot PoI or go to the lake and smell the roses while you get a bucket of water. I mean they already did that with the cooking grill.
  19. So, can we forget the water jars for a minute? Does the bucket mod make it "trivial"?
  20. Can I ask why you feel it wont be useful? Or are you miplying DevVille will not "fix" it?
  21. Sure, blame a mod for clumsiness :). That is what I tell the missus when I knock something over. "ya babe, my elbows were sticking out."
