  1. Hoping someone familiar with SteamCMD can help me out. I am trying to install 7DTD A20.7_b1 on a dedicated server using SteamCMD so we can try the latest Undead Legacy mod. When I run a modified SteamCMD bat file to isntall 7DTD A20.7_b1 it looks like it performs a download successfully, but then attempts to download something related to the 'download_depot'. At that point, the process stalls and nothing more happens. If I add the mod files afterward and try to start the server, there are a ton of errors. I don't know if the stall means that the previous version is unavailable or if I have the syntax incorrect for the 'download_depot' parameter. I am having a difficult time finding clear documentation on how to use the 'download_depot' parameter, so I am leaning that the syntax is wrong. This is my SteamCMD .bat file: start "" /wait cmd /c "echo *** Confirm the TARGET INSTALL LOCATION before continuing. ***&echo(&pause" steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir "C:\Servers\Server7DTD_Undead Legacy" +app_update 294420 validate +download_depot 294420 294421 5736767418902557868 start "" /wait cmd /c "echo Install should be complete.&echo(&pause" quit I have been using SteamCMD for years to set up dedicated stable release servers for 7DTD, Project Zombid, and Don't Starve Together, so it is not a new thing for me. Anyone familiar with the 'download_depot' parameter that can help me out? Thanks.
  2. Nah, the True, but the more chatter about it on the official forums, the more of a chance they may notice. I would love to see a whole lot more work done on the Random Map Gen. After the first pass, I found it annoying that so many cities had farms on the very edge of town instead of more in 'the country'. Towns, other than the old west, are usually square. I think it would be a lot to ask, but instead of recontouring the terrain so towns can be placed, it would be really great if the random gen could work with the terrain. Map creation would probably need several more passes to create (leading to longer generation times), but I am betting the result would be worth it. The newer version of the Random Map Gen is better than the previous, but since it is new, I gotta hope that they are going to continue expanding and improving it.
  3. Also, what changed in the Localization.txt file? I have several mods that make updates to that file and each of them is throwing an error: ERR [MODS] Failing loading localization from mod: LocalizationChangesA20 EXC Value cannot be null What does the EXC value represent? I looked over the new Localization.txt file and I was unable to determine what changed.
  4. Updates are always appreciated, but these changes are a tad concerning... How do these changes impact running multiple dedicated servers on the same PC? Are the logs and screenshots combined in the same folder? Can I run multiple live servers with different mod sets?
  5. @doughphunghus Thanks. I don't know how I overlooked the loadingscreen file. I tinkered with the tips in the localization file, but the changes there did not affect the client. I will tinker with the loadingscreen file at some point, but from what I have tested I am not sure they can be made to be displayed on the client.
  6. Most likely you will need to build a new auger, burning shaft, or both. If you add a mod to an existing game, items and blocks that have already been spawned/created are (generally) not affected.
  7. The hammer and wrench do not display the 'Modify' option when it it isn't in the hotbar as there are 6 potential actions but the Menu will only display 5. I have not seen a mod that allows all 6 options to be displayed. Is this something that can be fixed with a mod?
  8. Thanks. I was pretty sure I saw them somewhere, but could not find them again. I am guessing that they can be changed the same way any other localization entry can be. I am curious to see if it will allow new additions. I will give it a go.
  9. Is the file that contains the tips displayed on the loading screen something that is modable? If so, where is it? I can't seam to find it.
  10. A while back some friends and I played through Darkness Falls until the 'end'. If I recall correctly, the forge worked more like a workbench and did not 'store' processed ore. By chance, is the Forge available as a stand alone mod?
