  1. Upgrading blocks generates a lot of heat. You're pretty much guaranteed at least one wandering horde before nightfall. As far as I know the flaming shaft mod does not generate extra heat. It used to not effect stealth but I haven't used one much with the way sneaking and light sources work now in A20.

  2. The word toon is short for "cartoon character" and comes from the French word cartone which is the word for the pasteboard that early drawings were done on. It became synonymous with video game characters sometime in the 1990's by common usage.

Fun fact: Little Nemo is the oldest animated cartoon character, making his animated debut in 1911. There is one cartoon older, Fantasmagorie (1908), but it features an unnamed protagonist who is essentially just a stick figure.

  3. The gamepad controls are fine. It's honestly easier to do inventory management with chests with a gamepad. If you're having trouble controlling the gyrocopter try switching to the alternate vehicle gamepad controls by pressing the left (or is it the right?) mouse button.

I worked in a place about 10 years that had hundreds of them. One of them took out the telecommunication disc on my building when it came in for a landing hot, lol. This picture doesn't capture their size properly, they're big. They're smart too, there's no way Conan would be able to bite one of their heads off.

I kind of like them irl. They don't bother me and I certainly don't bother them.

Biting the head off of a vulture is not recommended. Vultures can throw up a very odorous vomit as a defense mechanism.

  5. The current console version of 7D2D was published by someone else. While The Fun Pimps got the rights back eventually that version is dead because the publisher is defunct. I'm not sure how it will work if TFP release their own console version after the game goes Gold but I see that as a slippery slope that will have to be trod carefully. If people find they're expected to pay for a new version you'll probably be able to hear the rage from space, even though it won't have been TFP's fault.

That would make sense, he also had taken over the parking system and refurbished the meters to run on dukes. Probably a little less useful for money laundering that way, but eh, that's where the casinos come in.

You're not thinking like a crook. What you need is the Duke Transit Pass. $49.99 a year plus whatever parking charges you rack up.

  7. When Buddha says "self" he means the ego. Learn how to get out of your own way is what Buddha was trying to say. The ego is there for survival. When survival is not an issue then it's of little use. I doubt any Psychologist would say differently. Take my posts for instance. I can assuredly tell you that Urban Blackbear doesn't exist. He's not me, not really. So how can I take anything in response to him personally? The responder doesn't know me, therefor any criticism they offer is flawed from the start. I'll own it if it's useful but otherwise it gets discarded. Were my ego to get involved it would only end poorly for me. It would limit an evaluation of any criticism I receive to positive (non-threatening) and negative (threatening) and possibly prompt a response that causes suffering, even if only to myself.

  8. I think everyone isn't getting what I'm trying to say. Here's a quote from someone wiser than me on the subject:

"The foolish man conceives the idea of 'self.' The wise man sees there is no ground on which to build the idea of 'self;' thus, he has a right conception of the world and well concludes that all compounds amassed by sorrow will be dissolved again, but the truth will remain."

Wise man, how can I ignore this if I get a notification every time he spams dislikes?

Simple. Stop caring about getting them. If getting a bunch of dislikes on a forum post for a game you play as entertainment is the worst thing in your day then how bad can things be?

  10. I'm not sure the new grass models are the problem. It seems to me like there are two layers of grass now and only the tallest of the lower layer sticks up above the first. Twice as much work to clear it off of an area now.

  11. I've tried a silencer on an SMG in prior Alphas and it works but really hurts the SMGs effectiveness. The range penalty makes the damage drop off rapidly  when combined with the damage penalty and it definitely isn't quiet. So you can use it but you really shouldn't without a burst mod and being patient which is counterproductive to the situations you'd need an SMG.

  12. It can be hard to find enough jars in the early days but if you keep checking cabinets and toilets you should find enough empty jars and bottles of murky water to get you going. Raiding the diners and fast food places usually gets me going in food and water. I can't recall ever really having to make glass jars in the forge.

That's true  about infinite yield farm but.. i think it will be better to left this "simple" in A17-A19 style. Random  harversting need in my opinion more complexed system - few fertinizer types, how far it is from water some plants prefer be near water some far etc.

But... not now. If 7dtd2 will be realased it will we be cool if this will be expended.

@PinkLed5 farming is not gambling for years. We have books, algorithmes, better tools , better plaint varieties etc.

Ofc zombie outbreak make a lot of things harder but still this is not gambling - it is like you are buying a  1$ lottery ticket and you have 100% chance to get at least 2$ dollars. So you just don't know how many you will win but still you always get more (except situation like zombie destroing your farming yield.)

If this was "7dtd medival" i could agree with you but now you have  enough "tools" to be effective.

Confession time: I was still mixing water blocks in with my farm plots because I thought they were required. All the way up until A20.

  14. I don't mind the new mechanics. It was simply to easy in A17-A19 to build an infinite yield farm that you only had to mow every other day or so. The effort required was decidedly unequal to the reward. Replanting is barely harder unless you can't keep track of how many plots of each seed you need to replant. It's barely math and keeping one page in the inventory crafting open.
