i've thought about this too and i think the ones outside the trader base shouldn't restock. it would add a layer of realism to the game, especially for players who turn off loot respawns altogether.

i also think that the vending machines should take old cash instead of dukes. i mean, why would they be converted to dukes anyway? it would give old cash another use than just selling for dukes too.

i stopped using the trader in my recent run and old cash has literally no use anymore... besides scrapping for paper i guess.

the Old Cash actually sells for more than 1 duke if you have a high enough barter.  Nevermind I misread your post. Apologies.

In ark, if your not using a superstack mod and holding 1000 cooked meat, your doing it very very wrong. Otherwise your gonna run to the fridge after a simple time of collecting rocks with a doedicuris, or simply flying around on a pteranodon. It's brutal.

Food spoilage may work in this game if we had very primitive options for food. Tier 1 (raw meat, ingredients) last 1-2 hours, tier 2 (bacon and eggs and such from one perk) lasts 3-4 hours, then add 1-3 hours for each perk invested for the specific things it unlocks.

The only issue is that food is meant to be scarce, and having plant spoilage would be an absolute nightmare. "I forgot to look at my crops after a day of traveling to a T5 quest and waiting all night to fully complete it, now all my crops are dead".

It COULD have place in the game, if it had very complex mechanics that DO NOT mesh well together. I go both ways on it's addition or removal. (That is if it ever gets implemented.)

Don't get me started on Prime Meat. That stuff spoils faster than milk shipped by Amazon.

  3. There are two control schemes for vehicles. To switch between them you have to get on a vehicle and press the left (possibly the right, check the default keys to see which one changes it) mouse button. That will change to the alternate controls. I find it to be better on a gamepad with the alternate. And yes, I'm aware changing the default control scheme for a gamepad with the mouse is counterintuitive, but I don't work here.

@Urban Blackbear -- I think you might have missed the existence of their Video Policy. They actually allow using videos on Twitch with some forms of monetization (including serving ads). Second point is that I don't really ask for permission -- I ask for interpretation of their existing Video Policy they have online since years. If I'd suspected that I would go against the TOS unless I get an explicit permission, then I wouldn't write anything on these forums.

Anyway, I've actually asked The Fun Pimps directly, but nobody has answered, so I'm back here.

I'd like to get back to the Video Policy they've put on their website one more time: https://thefunpimps.com/video-policy/

    Specifically, point 3:

Since a video is a series of screenshots that contain the Gaming Content, could using fragments of those screenshots fall under this point? I think a mobile app could be interpreted as a creative input?

Could anyone share your point of view?

I am not in charge of anything. I'm not discussing this further. Not sure what everyone's problem is but from now on I'm not bothering to speculate about a damn thing here, because people just want to argue about it with me.

Look, from my point of view the entire perk tree system is messy. The baton is indeed good for the intelligence tree, but it lacks the stamina regeneration and reduction of tyrannosaurus. Maybe if it also gave T's benefits and have some attack speed increase it might make sense. Personally I think it makes no sense to make stun batons from an intelligence tree.

But perhaps we should look at a more broad question which is: should each tree has its own melee and range weapons with their own stamina reduction?

We're all entitled to our own points of view.  Mine is I don't care one way or the other. I stick to facts and how things are currently.

What is the roadmap for addressing the myriad issues plaguing 8+ player multiplayer?  Which issues are being prioritized?  Who is being consulted?  When can we expect any changes (it takes many months to ramp up a new developer on an existing project)?  Is any of this happening at all, or will the official line be "this is unsupported" forever?

More than 8 players is not supported but they're hoping they can make grounds on that by hiring another network engineer. You can expect changes when and if they're ever ready.

It's still terrible investment though. It's actually worse than a club because of it's slower attack speed. With a club and tyrannosaurus I can easily take out warrior difficulty zombies. The pipe baton is garbage.

You understand that before the Pipe Baton Electrocutioner had no low level weapon at all? You were stuck putting points into the skill and not being able to leverage them until you found a Stun Baton.
