Ahhh this is interesting. Although, if they had proper temp based on depth in the ground, all you'd have to do is dig down about 5 meters and it'll be nice and comfortable no matter what biome you are in.
Running a air conditioner would be expensive electricity wise, but your point is vid. hell a forge should definitely heat up a 1000' square foot house no problem

I just accept the fact that my backpack that can hold a few hundred spike traps, 1,000's of rocks, and a forest full of wood...
Why is a vehicle such a stretch?
Make it a self imposed challenge. Problem solved. I am sure someone will add that to a realistic survival mod at some point. To make it a default when the rest of your inventory is a physical impossibility is a little selective simply for difficulties sake in my opinion.

I have been wanting the ability to trap chickens forever! Seems like you could make a wood frame trap work pretty easily, or even make a bare handed attack be a grab on chickens and give you a limited amount of time to get them back into a chicken coop of some kind. A simple 1 high wall with a 4 or more squares of grass would do the trick.
Aside from the eggs, getting a few feathers out of a chicken coop per chicken each day would be so nice
you could even give it the ability to attract a wolf within a given radius to make it more interesting.

Well we are in the final phase of 7D. Hopefully. Also i think working on your next project while another one is still developed is business as usual. Not for really small studios ofc, but other than that it´s pretty normal.
thats why I said working on a sequel. big difference between working on another project and a sequel to an unfinished one.
That aside, how can it be "in the final phase" while its still in Alpha. Once it hits Beta, we can talk about it almost being done.

@warmer They already work on a new game, but there is no info if it is something completly different or a sequel to 7D.
any devs that make a sequel to their unfinished game are doing it wrong. I highly doubt its a sequel to 7days. They have been working on this for nearly 10 yrs. to work on making a sequel prior to release would be a huge mistake in my opinion.

Cart before the horse?
Why are we talking about what we want after the game is finished, prior to knowing what will be in the finished game?

I bought this at Alpha 6 when it looked like Minecraft for $15 or so. I have over 700hrs in this, so I pay like 2 cents an hour for fun... That's a damn good deal if you ask me.
Roughly speaking;
Alpha = not feature complete proof of concept
Beta = feature complete but not polished
people need to remember that when they wonder why it's still in Alpha.

Well yes obviously. But the point is, they already HAVE that A.I. with the zombies.
They already have Waypoint A (zombies current position) and Waypoint B (the player).
So they already have the most complex thing out of the wayfurther illustrates you don't understand how AI programming works. Point A and B are the two simplest aspects of the AI programming, not the hardest.
to be clear, I am not making any claims about your intellect, just your lack of understanding on this topic.

I want to see how the bandits move out of their base, walk in the city, kill zombies and walk back to their camp.
This is so simple:people that say programming AI is simple, have never programmed AI

RPG elements are interactions with the world. NPCs, story, narrative.
So yeah... if bandits actually give a story, I will be all for them.To me what makes a game an RPG is being able to build out your character as you see fit, which enables you to assume the role of your choosing. 7D2D does that for me already.
And as far as bandits go, I would think you'd remember the association with Duke, as these bandits are supposed to be his underlings. Duke being the Negan of 7D2D universe.
Before we all make assumptions, lets wait to see their offering.2 -

they won’t be building stuff or their own bases
There won’t be sniper bandits shooting you from 3000 blocks away
Have you ever played Subsistence?
The enemy AI in that game is pretty aggressive and build bases. Granted they are aim bots, but I think have been toned down a bit. Subsistence is also a 1 man show and TFP have quite a few brains in the pot. I am sure they can figure that bit out. Easiest way to me would be giving bandits prefab bases POI based on game stage that can spawn a given distance away from you out of site. That would be the simple way to do in my opinion. They could code them creating them piece by piece like subsistence does. Either way. It's not a stretch by any means.1 -
I swear the last time I killed one with a bow it looked like a giant porcupine when I was done.

7mph??? Maybe km/h? More less common walking speed for a regular person is around 7km/h(4,35mph), same for running speed, not people never break 20km/h(12,5mph) record specially
I used math based on meters moved in a given time. The numbers I presented were in game speeds. Think before you post, your argument isn't with me lol

A) You could put up fake forges and cooking fires anywhere and burn some wood and they would converge there.
This is a good tactic. Place several campfires in a valley and get random hordes for XP grinding. My first big base had roughly 30 torches on the outside and I was killing Witch/screamers ALL DAY because of it. Every 5 min.
Decoys will draw hordes to the source of the "heat"0 -
If my memory serves me, you get full xp on 1st craft and minimum there after.

I just did some tests
Walking speed is roughly 7mph which is a decent jog
Running speed is about 16mph which is a good run, but not a full on sprint
You can also run at 16mph for about 25 second at 100 stamina which feels pretty realistic for most people who aren't active runners.
7mph for walking is a really fast walk. most people are around 4mph.
It would be cool to have an additional +5% run speed for every point of agility above 1. At lvl 10 you have +45% and you'd be running about 23mph which is still several mph slowly than an Olympic level sprinter. That would give you incentive to lvl Agility and be somewhat realistic as far as how someone would be built physically as most people won't max Agility and Strength if the point balancing is similar to how it is now.1 -
why does this matter when you have a waypoint on the map? are people actually using just the compass to find the location of a quest marker?

zombies dogs definitely need an audio fix for movement. I have noticed this as well.
Anyone know the minimum distance something can spawn from the player?1 -
I think the idea is similar to Dukes bandit peeps they are going to implement at some point.
Definitely coming home to gave your place raided would be very unsettling. I lived in a cabin 20 miles from town once and I came home to an open door. Someone crawled through my cat door (broke it) and stole a laptop, and then exited the front door. I was incredibly disturbed and slept with a huge knife next to my bed for weeks.

When I play on my 3440 x 1440 I get this terrible effect where the center of the screen seemed kind of scrunched up. What settings do you use? I tried setting everything I could find, but could never really eliminate the effect. Eventually I gave up playing because of it.
I find a lot of games handle FOV differently. my rule is to find a known circle and ensure it doesn't changed shape as it gets to the edge of the screen. if your FOV is wrong, everything gets stretched out as it nears the edge of the screen. just go adjust it and check. you will know the settings are correct when it doesn't changed shape. regardless of screen position.

I play a handful of FPS/drive/flight sim but most isometric 2.5D and city builders/colony sims being my fav. I haven't found a single game that isn't helped by more pixels.
What types of games are you referring to?

I play at 21:9 3440 x 1440 on a curved display and I am never going back. Once you play with a curved display and realize how little refocus is required to look at any portion of your screen you realize you are gain 10ms+ reaction time because your eyes are always in focus.
Naysayers don't know what they are missing

I accidently fall down. Cornered I have one option and I use a strong attack with a level 3 stone sledge. The Bear slumps to the floor. I immediately grab my bone knife and get ready to carve up my kill...
only to realize I just knocked that MF out, and he kills me with a single swipe before I can get away!
Lesson learned. Always look for an xp drop before carving up your enemy1 -
I only use guns on horde night and that for about 5min. I could careless if the animations represent reality, because that will add nothing to the game for me personally.

RELEASE DATE A20 ?

If you by a single black rose the day they release a new Alpha, cut the end off, and plant it in wet concrete, the day it looses it's last petal is the day the release the next Alpha. My rose still has a few petals left. I'm guessing we'll finally get a Halloween release this year.
