  1. As it took the biggest computer in the universe 7.5 million years to figures why "42" was the reason for everything: Saying that much truth all at once would cause most people's heads to explode. So, one much walk sideways at it and even then... slowly. -The last number in the number sequence in the tv show Lost was... 42! OK that's enough truth for now, come back in 7.5 million years and you'll get the second clue. But while waiting you must say "42" really fast over and over. You cant, can you.
  2. Will there be any tweaks to pathing or are there options to change the type of pathing? IE: Non blood moon pathing remains the same, but blood moon pathing is "Charge in and start hitting something." I ask because I'm sure that Bandit pathing with be distinctly different from zombie pathing. So, introducing various pathing's just makes sense. Also, a special pathing that deals with a known OP player! Also let Bandits call for backup! (For said OP players. Not exactly pathing but a behavior) That would be stupendously great!
  3. Found the answer to your puzzle again! Next time, make it a little harder.
  4. In the snow biome, you get too much food, even for 8 people. One cook and another farmer would leave 6 people blasting helpless bears, cougars and dire wolves. On that line (unless 7D2D is a fevered dream the player is having, to wake up at the start of part 2) there should be a body fat percent. this would keep the player alive for up to 7 days before death (now you know the reason for the game title!) . The player can regain body fat by eating more than just being full. EDIT: While the player is using just body fat, all stats are halved. OK now done!
  5. If any pond were an infinite supply of food, it would completely break the game. Surround it with walls and never leave. GG. Now if you had to travel to the edge of the map... It would still be GG but it would take a bit more effort at least.
  6. The balance to easy, abundant food, would be that food goes bad. All food spoils in 7 days (or on blood moon night for extra drama! ( EDIT: This would save on computer processing too)). There are 3 tiers of food protection (of course): Snow Box, Refrigerator and the Dehydrator. All food can be "treated" only once: -The Snow box is "fueled" with snow and adds 7 extra days to food, if items remain inside device. -The Refrigerator is powered by electricity and adds 2 weeks of preservation if items remain inside device. -The Dehydrator is powered by electricity and adds 4 weeks of preservation once the items are dehydrated, they can be removed. Something like that. Edit2: Items that are cooked becomes new food items and reset the spoil time to 7 days and then can be refrigerated.
  7. You hear the future howls of pain and anguish too? The best part is finding out what the howls will be about. It's like Christmas finding out.
  8. Done worry! I told Liam Neeson at his book signing "It isn't easy being a god", that I needed an extraction team with a special set of skills. He handed me this and called "Security!" As they were dragging me out of the convention hall he yelled "Don't worry, he likes nuts!" I don't know what that meant, but if you find this guy tell him we need his help!
  9. They do. Until "They" drive on horde night through the wasteland, cackling like "The Wicked Witch of the West"!!! ...Well... Thats what I heard "They" do.
  10. Then we have the Water Works... Make WW great again! Then you need to power the whole city by clearing and fixing a nuclear power plant POI. (A23-24?) (and guess what zombies are packed into THAT one!)
  11. I like that guy's YouTube show: Lots of energy, he has an amazing memory down to where zombies are in each POI. Also, I learned a few tricks from him, but I do like my "brute force" fortresses. He's making that silo POI look pretty darn good and cozy IMO.
  12. 5 collectors at once... ... NOOB! Imagine as far as the eyes can see... Blocking out the very sun! Fueling the massive Military-Industrial complex of greedy players. Water. LOTS of water! Oh yes, it will happen. A full, large storge chest is my goal for many items. Ready for release then! We are all ready!!!!!
  13. Did you miss the times where zombies had EXTREME deformations on death? That was an official fun pimping time with LOLZ for one and all! I've wondered if it was just a wink back at those days. Probably not. If I was to get serious, I could easily incorporate that into the grand plan (The player is having fever dreams and is in a special coma from the zombie virus and will wake up in part 2!).
  14. Modifying your formula, I would make weapon damage = (Weapon level * 2 * ((Weapons Random Damage1 + WRD2 + WRD3) /3) This would go far in making a higher-level weapon a "No Brainer" better weapon. However, repairing a near Match Grade weapon (level 6) with a hunk of iron and some glue just breaks the game a bit for me. For me: Once I have a M60, the games challenge is over. Until then, level 6 weapons with the extra mod slot should be harder to keep at that state (Level 6). Your repair cost suggestions go far in helping (if implemented).
  15. It's something within the last year that causes this "event" for me. For me the following are required to trigger an event. -Large POI ether vertically or horizontally. (Some chunk load anomalies?) -Moving quickly through the POI. (Sleeper wake up anomaly?) I spent 2 days in a tower POI-5 but finally found the one but many other zombies had respawned as well! Also, I gave up on a newer horizontal POI 4 or 5 I dont remember. Probably teri-5 because the immense size of the thing.
  16. That would work too. The whole idea, for me, would be to not allow "no cost" infinite gear. I also like the idea that tier 6 weapons cannot be repaired but a few times. This would give late a small challenge. I presume that NPC Bandits would be the real late game challenge.
  17. This is good survival, realistic and is late game boredom, resistant.
  18. That is a great idea, a Tier 6 weapon represent mint condition IMO. So how about once a tier 6 "breaks" it becomes a tier 5 weapon! A less strict idea would be you can repair/clean a weapon X many times before it degrades to a lower level. This would be great for me as I focus on getting the ultimate weapon (M60 MG). But then the game is basically over. Its double over with the drum ammo mod and any backup damage hose.
  19. My two cents on Horde nights. -Now (A20), BMH's are pretty fun, lots of exp and they go pretty easy on your base. I use ammo I don't bring on POI adventures (Shotgun and 44 mags for me) but this might change in A21 IDK. -I don't use electronics but one well-placed Sledge turret (pointing at an inward corner) will trap/stun 1-3 zombies so shotgun fire from above them makes quick work of them. -I respect the vultures during late game horde nights and they get my attention more than the Demolition Zeds. -A big fort of concrete will never fall (Thats A20. Who knows and is talking about A21 BMH?).
  20. If a person had the last three years' worth of Guns & Ammo and maybe the last five years of Popular Mechanics. They probably could make a not terrible automatic weapon, if they had some key resources. However, you would only find them in a few specific places and not in newsstands (you would find the same issue over and over). So, its just a gimmick and that's that, unfortunately.
  21. If slowing down the early game is the point and I believe it is, then get rid of all the newspaper stands OR make newspaper stands give mostly paper 90% paper. Seriously, how many Popular Mechanics or Scientific American or "Guns & Ammo" magazine has anyone seen in a newspaper stand? Oddly, this will be the first time my "Role-play" and "Min-Max" selves will be in agreement if Newpaper stands have a lot of critical survival information. Realism is not remotely there, but I will loot every single one in the town I'm in. (Maybe "Vouge" really has articles like: "18 ways to kill a man... With a Pencil!"
  22. I get a huge majority of my experience by building. I love building. I end up mining at bedrock, especially when I have an auger. Mining from bottom up is fun and has a touch of danger for me. You need to plan a bit. The entrance to my underground labyrinth starts at the center of my base. I just dig in a direction (at bedrock) of a mine I'm interested in away from my base and end up finding several more non surface mines. Screamers are too easy to kill. If they were a bit tougher, it would be more interesting. But at that point, everything is too easy. However, making super bullet sponges is not my idea of fun ether. Early game is the best. Mid-game is nice and late game is just killing time for me (making huge bases is always fun for me though). Waiting on the Kraken!
  23. 7D2D is still selling so that's good although I don't know the dollar amount. If the funds dry up, even after A22 (bandits?) then TFP have to make a choice: start their next product or do a "Hail Marry" and push on hoping for the best. 7D2D is one of my favorite games and I hope everything goes well for them.
  24. Nope and now I have to. Wait, was there a Tiger in it and a raft? *NM, I couldn't get into it, but I'll try again.
