7 Days to Christmas | A20 Cowboy Challenge Run

Interesting concept Tesak, Something I may do a run through of, once A20 goes stable. Have you thought of getting into modding and work on projects like this and other themes you have in the works? Could be a small community around the corner just waiting for something like this, to keep the game interesting and fresh. Food for thought, if this seems popular ๐ Good Luck & Have Fun! -
Thanks heaps guys for the Trader info, will use it if it happens to do that to me again. Looking good Jax!

Firstly I would like to Thank Jax and the Team for an awesome job on the Ravenhearst mod, it has become my go to 7DTD mod for some time now. I started a new game a few days back and everything was going as expected, reached lvl 12 on day 6, around midday I decided to do a Trader run to sell off bits and pieces, only to find that the Trader was closed and the Trader npc was no where to be found. This was not my first visit to this trader so I was surprised when I was teleported away from the main gate. After numerous relogs and a few console commands suggested by the community didnt help, I've decided to bring it to your attention here, it may not be anything to do with this mod but maybe something that was evident from the Vanilla version. All I can tell you is the above, and that the trader was in one of the new prefab towns that included the new skyscraper building ( fish tank penthouse at the top:)) I have started a new game (which I didnt mind as it was my first run through from a break) but was wondering if there was a work around for this problem if it was to happen again? I tried relogging, using the 'Traderarea' console command, tried changing the day and time in hopes of resetting the trader. Any help would be muchly appreciated, Rak. PS- Again, Thanks and Please keep up the great work you guys are doing on this Mod, it is 2nd to none!!

Thanks Rags. Both great sources of information, I recommend everyone bookmark these sites, very helpful, always nice to have something/somewhere to referrence Mod information!

Great job on the New UI guys, much much better, I love having my Hunger/thirst levels on the main screen with my wellness/stamina, and adding the Fatigue/Addiction icons to the top of the UI helps alot. The gold/black detail helps to define each component, especially when harvesting items, much easier to see what you are getting as they pop up. Keep up the great work guys, Starvation is proving to be a challenging but rewarding Mod. Tbh, I was one of those players requesting a bigger bag, more details on main UI and a few other things but I must admit, as I have given the mod more time, and immersed myself into the realism that the mod brings with it, I wouldnt change a thing (major changes). For those not using the Mod Launcher, Download it and give it a whirl, it saves sooo much time and effort, I currently have 5 big mods installed like Starvation, WotW, Valmod etc.. and all work as intended. And, like myself, if you are having trouble locating information on the mod, maybe got lost with the many pages that a few of the starvation threads have, here is a Google Doc I found that has some basic but very useful information all in one place, Hope it helps those in need:) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D1rCZZJ5ffR5E0hEFSc4YAEc-VhSyl4Is0z6vl7pbH8/edit#heading=h.b1k1hzj3h6y3

Thanks again Sphereii for the quick reply, I've written those down for future play throughs. Valmod is very interesting, Played thru to 4.30am this morning after installing it, tbh I really didnt want to go to bed but after head butting my keyboard from knodding off, I gave in lmao, first time for everything:) Just read through the true survival thread, damn thats some work. Peaked my interest indeed..but after Valmod. PS- Subscribed to this thread, I like prompt, friendly modders, imo the 7dtd community is probably the friendliest I have come across in 10 years of gaming!

Thanks Sphereii, I've installed and played WotW quite abit but decided to take a break from that and try the Valmod/Compopack + bigger bag. Absolutely loving it atm, Bigger bag is a nice comprimise between the vanilla size and the 72 slot bag, works well. All the new recipes and skills blocked by perk points are doing my head in, trying to learn them + sorting a priority list of things to go for to give me a good start, but I wouldn't change a thing, no challenge = bored after a few hours (if you're looking for something different). Would you recommend any particular Expansion mod? I have played Vanilla, Wotw, just started starvation and Valmod (switching between the 2 as starvation is being cruel to my start lol) I really do like the class systems, and new recipes/work stations. I haven't really looked into the other mods like Ravenhearst and True Survival, why I'm asking for recommendations. keeping it as one big surprise and not knowing whats around the next corner, is the only way to play IMO. I solely play SP games but may venture into a PVE MP game at some point. Rakstelon - Dave

Hi Sphereii, Thankyou for getting back to me, I can see the direction the Starvation team wanted to take and totally understand why they would want to keep it as it is, it certainly puts you on tender hooks as soon as you start, I died 3 times just going to the first trader, damn rhinos and hyenas Lmao. I've decided to give it a play through anyways, I have played numerous Vanilla games and WotW so now my goal is to play not only Starvation but maybe a Valmod Overhaul at some point. We players are now very spoilt when it comes to 7DTD game options and the Mod Launcher makes it even easier to get set up, I would/will recommended it to all 7DTD players. Keep up the awesome work on the Launcher! and to all the modders, keep your ideas coming, you are all doing great work! Thankyou

Thanks for the reply Guppy, I was thinking there may of been a compatibility problem, as I noticed that with for instance the War of the walkers mod had a big bag mod in the same section but the others are separate and in different sections. Is there plans to add complimentary mods for starvation such as the big bag mod, UI mods etc..? I thought I watched an old episode of one of Games4Kicks Starvation games which had these or similar mods installed, which is why I thought of trying to combine them. But, I understand, maybe future versions of the launcher may have more options for this Mod. Thankyou and keep up the great work on the Launcher.

Some help needed for a new Mod Launcher user. I watched and followed a few steps to get me started, My goal is to play the Starvation mod with the SMX Valmod design UI and the SMX Big Back Pack mod, I Verified my steam 7dtd files, I chose the Starvation Mod and Installed game copy to the default directory which I believe was (C:\7DTD), then clicked Play Mod with the 'Refresh Mods Auto' checked. this worked fine, my problem and lack of knowledge comes to when trying to install more mods like the ones listed above. I used the same precedure for both the UI and Big Bag mods as I did for Starvation but to no avail. I did however notice that the launcher installed the both Mods in the (C:\7DTD\UI folder) and both from existing copies of the game- (C:\7DTD\Starvation\Starvationmod16 folder). Not sure if this is correct or if I had to change this? I'm not sure if I am to run each mod separate at first after installations or just install then just use the Play Mod for Starvation and the other mods are auto applied!? I did try to run each separately but got alot of red errors and game froze up so I shut it down. Can someone please explain the correct precedure in detail ( step by step ) as I have been banging my head against this for over 6 hours and getting Nowhere fast. There are a few vids on how to install a Big mod like WotW, and even how to install multiple Big mods and play each separately but I could not find an extension of those vids to explain how to add extra mods to accompany those. Any help with this would be muchly appreciated as I'm fighting a losing battle....I so want it to work as it is an Awesome Mod tool! No more manually drag/dropping files into the 7dtd directory. After hours of testing, I was able to fix a few problems I was having until this on first log on, I got the same Tungzen error, I did a quick uninstall/install of the mod and seems fine now (touch wood) btw, Im on a dedicated server. For norm, all I can think of is to reinstall your mod files to your 7dtd directory as before. - - - Updated - - - Sirillion has helped me on the nexus forums, very quick and easy to understand replies, Keep up the good work guys

Errors with BigBag Mod and NPC's have no ammo Hello All, Firstly, as most have stated, excellent work youre doing on this WotW Mod, just starting playing it on our server, certainly not doing my nerves any good lol. I did search through about 20 pages of this thread, found a few asking about the Big Bag glitch but couldn't find an answer, so apologies if I missed a response/answer for these questions. also, I'm not very experienced with editing particular technical files, just know how to install by drag and drop methods into our main 7DTD directory. These are my 2 problems: 1) Big Bag Mod, on exiting the game and re:entering, anything in the bottom 3 rows of the bag disappear, 2) Noticed that after running around and checking a few NPC's, any that have a gun or rifle, have No ammo, just clicks. they still attack any surrounding zombies as intended thou. Im currently using a dedicated server through PingPerfect which has a Mod page with install/uninstall buttons, I got a little confused as there were 5 different options, non eac and eac friendly + a couple of big bag mods to suit each. Finally figured out which 2 were needed- WotW non eac + 75 slot big bag mod, but still get the same BBM glitches after trying a few re:installs. I also started a SP Random Gen game and the npc's were firing off bullets as intended but the Big Bag glitch was still happening. Should add, I have seen all the links for all the different bag sizes, Im just not sure where I install them to when it comes to the dedicated server. Seriously contemplating starting a new server through BlueFangSolutions, the idea of having Dwall and the BFS admins working together sounds really good. Any help with this would be muchly appreciated. Rakstelon - Dave PS- Uninstalled all the mods from our Dedicated server and reapplied the WotW mod only, now the npc's have loaded, working guns. The Backpack mod is still playing up and items in the bottom 3 rows of the BP disappear on relogging. We will play with no BP mod until we hear back with a solution, Thanks
