    Visual Glitch

I forgot to add that I think it would get pretty annoying in a couple scenarios: Go to heal an ally and a zombie's hitbox crosses vision, healing the Z instead. In combat, accidentally hit right click healing the zombie and having to wait for the animation to finish to heal yourself. Someone trolling by using a massive amount of first aid kits on, say, a demo or something
  2. Retested this after the update, couldn't find anything broken after that (fixed)
  3. Just noticed this got pushed out to a19b178, so this issue persists in that build as well.
  4. Opps... it's late, HERE is the video with the comparison
  5. Confirmed in my Navez run in b4 this happens to zombies as well.
  6. Yeah I know it. The moments are so rare (some of us have seen it) it's damn near impossible to reproduce since.. it's rare heh. For now, putting the "tough guy shirt" on is easier to test that stuff out.
  7. I've learned this the hard way, but being in god mode prevents XP gain from player-applied debuff kills for whatever reason.
  8. Yw! Glad some of the files were okay
  9. Sorry =/ This can happen on rare circumstances when your power went out, or you disconnected from a server while the game/server just happens to be changing your saved files. I am unaware of any fixes...
  10. %appdata%/7daystodie/saves (type this into the run box or in file explorer) Go to your game, youll see files with the .bak extension on them. Remove the same files without the .bak, and simply rename the .bak ones and remove the .bak. Do this in the player folder too.
  11. To not make books out of quotes, I get that Fey but the wedge tip base was purely for breaking the AI into infinite looping of up the stairs... fall down the wedges... run up the stairs.. fall down the wedges... that's what you said this replaces.
  12. Sheesh. Such fervor you have there. This is a game created by a group of people, this has nothing to do with freedom. They want you to defend your base, if they attack your base / try to make it collapse that's fine. AI breaks that cause infinite looping of zombies being dumb to the point where they do nothing to destroy you and your base, that's not fine according to what the game is designed to do. That's all.
  13. Pretty sure the cheese bases they fix is to ensure the players actually have to fight the horde. Having zombies infinitely fall down a tiny hole isn't fighting unless you choose to pull the trigger. Zero risk to you or your base. They haven't destroyed any base elements; they are making it to where people can build bases they like without breaking the AI so they never touch a base or player. Don't get it twisted And I wouldn't be too hasty to say they didn't know about this already.
  14. Although this should be a feature left in, there's a more severe side to this. At the end of the videos linked at the end of this comment below, the game spat a slew of Null Ref errors and eventually crashed everyone's game. These 2 clips were with Islandpapa hosting for us in Navezgane.

    Injuries

There is no hitbox on the right side of this desk in game as well.
  16. Forgot to mention (boo not being able to edit posts), I was crouched in a majority of the clip, but that doesn't entirely matter. Worked while crouched or uncrouched.
  17. You're welcome. Absolutely glad to get another cheese known for fixing. Will hunt for similar issues with this!

  19. Schwanz saw this live in a game with a few other testers, but the one in the second video (thumbnail), when extended horizontally with multiple floating plates inbetween, causes the AI to break even more to the point where they only walk around with a rare occasion of a single swipe at a block. Just wanted to add this comment for additional information for anyone testing this out.

  21. Excuse the voice over, woke up with an allergy storm and was fighting coughing into the mic. Two more concepts on first iterations on wall plates, they have some serious AI issue that can be very easily exploited and discovered by accident even more easier I believe.

  23. Yeah I can't repro it. I'll try with chunk resetting and such again. Like I said it's def a case of low ram, just wanted to get the information out there incase it's something that pops up for more people that have enough vmem.
  24. Random thought that may help: I run the game with occlusion on (no texture streaming and dynamic resolution set to auto), and part of the error had to do with the occlusion manager... perhaps, when I reset the chunks, it did bad things with occlusion?
  25. Forgot to mention, the game has never crashed on me in a19 before nor after. Files were verified and nothing was found bad. Again, maybe this is useful maybe not, but figure it's better to not ignore it and turns out this is a thing that needs to be looked at *shrug*
