Yourdrunkendad
That's very odd for single player, both my pc and laptop are substantially inferior systems to yours and handle it much better. Something is definitely not right, whether on your end or theirs with some kind of compatibility issue with your hardware. What kind of FPS are you getting in game? Few things to check off the top of my head: Are your video settings set to ultra, or something lower, maybe custom? Does this problem stop if you use lower settings? Have you tried "verify integrity of game files" through the steam client? Is 7DTD installed on one of the SSD's? If you open taskmgr when the game is running are your cpu/ram/disk usage really high? Do you have a lot of other unnecessary processes or apps running while playing? Perhaps your CPU cores are being parked? There are a lot of programs such as Process Lasso that can prevent this, and even free up other system resources while gaming.
SylenThunder
Turn off Shadows and Reflections. That will help a lot. Also, this isn't a bug report.
Data
Sorry it’s not in the correct sub/forum but anyhoos Normally, I can average about 30+ fps, but that depends on the scene as in, what’s around me at the time, as you saw in the vid If I'm in “my house/base” then it can go up to 60 ish and sometimes more I get the micro stuttering as well but I've read that been fixed in A17, so hopefully that’s covered Someone mentioned the stuttering was the tree animations, and shows, sometimes I use half texture settings I use full water settings, if I don’t then water just shows black, to be honest I shouldn’t be having this issue with the comp I got, all other games i got installed i.e. BF3/4 and other fast paced games, i get about 70+ fps But then again, I don’t have the latest gfx drivers because I've read a lot that they are bugged If someone can let me know the best drivers to experiment with would be appreciated
skullpoker
That is extremely common to the point that certain hosted servers will ban you for a minibike with an engine over 200 quality as it can lag the whole server. According to Roland the map is smaller in A17 and will all be pregenerated which should reduce/eliminate that.
SylenThunder
Current Nvidia drivers are bug free. Sadly you haven't given enough information about your setup or game settings for me to be able to help more though.
