Launcher Error 740

Hi all, 

 

Logged on today to play, the game was working fine literally last night, we played for roughly 5 hours. Came on today and I get the same error code whenever I try to launch the game. "failed launching the game". I am running it from the launcher, if I run it without the launcher I get this prompt immediately, if I run the game with the launcher I can access the launcher, it gives me the error as soon as I click run. 

 

I have restarted my PC, reinstalled the game, cleared all game data, and verified the steam files god knows how many times. Does anyone have any idea on a fix for this?

Hey, Running as administrator actually worked in the end, thanks! The game now runs, but every 20-30 minutes or so it crashes. I've made sure both the launcher and 7d2d exe have all security permissions, I've increased VRAM, tried using Vulkan and GLcore, tried all types of settings. Nothing changes it, it will eventually always crash. It doesn't matter whether I am just cutting trees down or doing a full on horde night, no matter how intensive the gameplay is it always crashes at somepoint within 20-30 minutes of launch. This was occuring in A21 and has carried over into the 1.0 update. My crashlog is below, the Nullreferenceexception line repeats forever for the rest of the crashlog, I have removed it as otherwise I cannot upload the crashlog.
