i done everything from restarting the world to reinstalling the game and im still getting this message.

NullReferenceException: Object reference is not set to an instance of an object

is there any way to fix this, thank you

We need to see a copy of your log file. That error that you’re getting is very generic but the specifics are in the log file. Your version, A20 (b238) is six stable releases behind. First, update to the latest version. (A20.6)

Also, you have a world/save from a previous Alpha, which won't work and needs to be deleted.

You can delete old saves & worlds using the Launcher/Tools/Clean game data menu.

Your character profile is also either messed up or from an older alpha. Delete that using the Launcher as well.
