Cyberdreamer
Hello, Updated from A20 to A20.1 21st Jan and have started seeing users repeatedly and consistently 'crashing' almost immediately after logging in. On checking the logs an error is being logged saying: 2022-01-21T17:59:28 3187.358 INF Kicking player (Platform auth failed: AuthTicketCanceled): EntityID=3979, PltfmId='Steam_76561198079901668', CrossId='EOS_0002560f417f40549b8d1066e99bf294', OwnerID='Steam_76561198079901668', PlayerName='Ducky' This isn't happening for all users just a few. Can anyone explain what's causing this and what can be done to stop it? It is happening to more than one user and wasn't happening before the A20.1 update. I did check the known issues log but not much at all there for A20.1 I have tried this without EAC on the server but that makes no difference. Client files were validated clean. The game is a continued game not a new game, Server log attached in pastebin at https://pastebin.com/JNJ5Cvia titled '7D2D AuthTicketCanceled Problem 21 01 22' time index as above error message. You could check a client log from somone who is failing to connect to confirm. Also, why is this in your log? 2022-01-21T17:06:22 1.143 INF Last played version: Alpha 19.6 That seems to point to something not being cleaned up completely. Cyberdreamer
Hi Beelzybub, Thanks for your response I've requested the client log and will post it when I get it. Not sure what you mean by 'different version' they do log in before they're kicked and I didn't think from my own experience you get as far as being logged in if you're running a different version from the server? I have no idea where the reference to 19.6 came from. The server was definitely played on A20 before being upgraded to A20.1 today, so should not have been anything there from A19.6. Cyberdreamer
I have the client log and that's available in 7D2D AuthTicketCanceled Problem 21 01 22 Client - Pastebin.com it does show a crash around the time but unfortunately the user cannot locate the crash report so I can't add that 😕 There is a stack trace included there though. Star69
Same error another person just posted about. I’ve only seen it since A20.1, ray casting having difficulty with player position. I’d love some info from somebody official as this is a new error. For what it’s worth, I think You should post this to the official bug report section so that we may get some feedback from the QA team on this error. I went to the closest trader and saw two blocks that are weird. That couch piece is supposed to be an ammo box. So, ??? Is this an old world? Or did you modify the blocks on purpose? Also, after I tryed to "open" the couch by pressing "e" I could no longer open anything.

Cyberdreamer
So if this could be a world problem, I have a backup of the world from A20 prior to upgrade to A20.1 which is only a few days old, in which we weren't seeing this problem. I'm thinking restore to that and see if this problem persists? If it doesn't then re-apply the upgrade to A20.1 and check if that gets us back to where we are now or clears it? IF the problem is still there i.e. introduced by A20.1 then as Star69 suggests might be appropriate to pursue as a bug? Unless anyone can think of a reason not to do that I'll try that later today. Cyberdreamer
Hi I restored to A20 on the server, how do I restore the client to A20 from A20.1? I can see in Steam how to restore to previous versions before A20 but there is just one option after A19.6 which is latest-experimental; and I don't see how to choose between A20 and A20.1? I went to that trader location post restore you mentioned Beelyzbub, and saw the same sofa. I wouldn't expect to be able to open it though as its not a storage container when a sofa. I did try opening the nearby cement mixer and couldn't. Also 'E' to talk to the trader didn't bring up the dialogue and I froze up after that so I'd like to roll my client back to A20 but can't see how to? Any help appreciated ty ! Cyberdreamer
OK thanks that did it. So restoring to A20.0 the problem goes away. I think I will just leave it at A20.0 for a while till things settle down. Thanks for the help! Cyber
