A player on my server can't open anything or pick any items up.

A player on my server who's been playing for weeks suddenly encountered this problem on my server and is unable to pick any items up or open anything.  Upon looking at the logs it looks like maybe he isn't passing the anti-cheat system in place for some reason?

How well do you know him? 😉

Did he change anything recently? Did he add a mod to play on a different server, change the game version ... ?

Does validating the game from steam help?

Does this help: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/3998-support-faq-information-and-common-solutions/?do=findComment&comment=48324

Can he start a game with EAC enabled locally?

What does his log show? Looking into his log for errors should be the first thing you two should do (if you can read it). If not, posting the complete logs of a session from cleitn and server would be necessary. Use pastebin or similar for that.

EAC can fail if the client has a virus/malware/root kit or if they are running non-approved antivirus programs. There is a list of approved antivirus software as well as a link to Malwares Anti-rootkit scanner so he can look for bad rootkits. Or he could go to the EAC website and contact their support as well. I would think they would be able to tell him what the temporary ban was for.
