-Description-

Vanilla Expanded is a new series of modules, each one independently focusing on a particular point of gameplay. You will mostly see additions to vanilla content, making systems deeper or more varied. Some modules will change the vanilla gameplay more than others, but they are also designed to be mostly modular, so you can choose what you want and avoid what you don't.

-Description-

Vanilla Expanded: Storage is a module in the Vanilla Expanded series that adds 50+ player storage options, easily crafted via the Furniture Variant Helpers in game. This allows for immersive storage areas, or just decoration choices!

This mod should be compatible with all other mods, with the exception that there could be visual duplicates if other mods use the same vanilla models and icons. If you see something, please say something. I'll do my best to keep up with the latest stable game releases, but barring any block name changes, there shouldn't be any problems.

No, don't delete anything. This community has a foundation built on sharing and collaboration. Finish it, post it, put it out there. There are things in your mods I might like better, and things in my mods you might like better. Doesn't make anybody right or wrong, it's all about making people's experiences better. Carry on, homie.

nah i had like 2 container made lol.. and you have those. this mod is what i was going for, so it's all good.. i can use the time for something else. i love the idea of making creative menu stuff available without having to cheat them in. i do survival build series and i refuse to use the creative menu.. so this is perfect.

the only thing i suggest is that when you destroy the furniture, that it should return to your inventory instead getting the parts for it.. unless you can pick them up with a land claim block... misplacing them sucks and to have to destroy and rebuild because you cant move it (despite being able to carry around a 4x4 in your back pocket), is a bit annoying.. but thats the only issue. def love this and can't wait for more of your Expanded Vanilla. 

if you can check out my Curtains and Blinds mod, and maybe make those better.. that'd be cool as well.

I'd thought about that, but I decided that with the variety of different containers to be able to store things in, you end up with all the storage space you could ever use when you account for all the specialized containers. There's still the vanilla storage boxes that have the larger inventory you could use for bulk storage.

Do you have a specific purpose for one in mind, like the brick pile feels like could hold more stone or just in general?

If you wanted to change it on your end, you can open up loot.xml in the Mods/Vanilla Expanded - Storage folder, and change all instances of size="6,8" to size="8,9".

Sneak preview of my favorite feature in the upcoming new module, Vanilla Expanded: Hunting
 


Wounded animals now leave a trail of blood behind as they flee. Can you follow the track and locate the downed prey? Your survival just may depend on it.

very nice. i can't wait. def DM me when its complete, and i'll do a video on it. will there be mounted trophies? using the hide, bones and maybe other materials to stuff the animal, we can have place able blocks that look like the animals that we can use as decorations? or is that not doable?

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update on the progress of the mod.

 

I haven't abandoned it or forgotten about it, just had a tough stretch the last few months where it just wasn't manageable to include time for modding.


Here's where I'm at and what I'm working on.

 

• I'm about 80% done with the predator abilities.
• Wrist deep in a new spawning system for groups of animals
• I have a napkin design for unique clothing made from each animal hide type

And more!
