Thank you for reporting. The player, vehicle, and drone's current locations are stored at a different timing. When you exit the game normally, all the locations are saved at the same time. When the game is shut down unexpectedly, the vehicle and drone's location will be at the spot that it was last saved automatically. It won't show on the compass or on the map until you are near it. Please try tracing back the way you were travelling, you should either see your vehicle's icon on the compass, or be pulled onto your vehicle when you are near it.

It seems that you are trying to join the game through the Steam friends list while the game is still initializing. They will work on blocking being able to join until the game is ready to join. For now, please try launching the game and joining through the server browser. Also, it looks like your EOS connections are blocked by something, most likely your firewall.

I got an answer from our programmer. He said that he thinks that the "Invalid filename" could be about the installation location. He would like a screenshot of the explorer window showing the 7Days folder. E.g. from Steam library right click 7 Days To Die → Manage → Browse local files, then make a screenshot of that window.

Thank you for reporting. Unfortunately, this issue is very sporadic and we haven't been able to get enough information to pinpoint the cause. If anyone having the issue could help us out by letting us know the list of programs you were running at the time. : - Run powershell as admin. - Copy "$UserPath = "$($env:USERPROFILE)\Desktop\"; get-process | out-file $UserPath\output.txt" (without the quotes) - Paste the copied text in powershell and press enter. - There will be an output log on your desktop, please copy the content of that output log and post it on pastebin.
