  1. Okay, let's start off with producing log files, rather than sending you on a potentially twisty path. 1) Start the mod you want to play. Exit after error. 2) In the Mod Launcher, click on the View menu, then Log Files 3) Click on Upload log file to upload the 7d2dlauncher.txt 4) In the same screen, change the drop down to show output_log.txt 5) Click on Upload log file. For both, send me the pastebin.com link please.
  2. Is it possible you are trying to use Alpha 16.2 as a base for mods, instead of 16.4?
  3. Under the 7DaysToDie_Data/ folder in your game directory, you'll see an output_log.txt. You can copy and paste the entire contents of the file to something like pastebin.com, and link us here
  4. I would still be more than happy to help you, if you can provide those logs, even if you decide not to use the mod launcher.
  5. Thank you. Can you try to run the game again, then re-post the log?
  6. Sorry for the delay. Could you try to load the mod again, and if it fails, can you do the following for me? 1) Go to the Mod Launcher 2) Click on the View Menu 3) Click on Log Files 4) Click on Upload Log File, and give me the pastebin.com link. 5) In the same screen, change the 7d2dlauncher.txt drop down to output_log.txt 6) Click on Upload Log file, and give me the pastebin.cm link. As for your other question, the Advanced mode lets you make multiple copies of the game, with a mod installed in each copy. So you will be able to manage multiple mods, in different game folders. Is that what you were asking?
  7. Sorry for the confusion. In the early releases, Simple had a place. However, with the current status of mods, there was little way to make sure they were cleanly installed. It's highly recommended to use Advanced mod to install, which will make a complete copy of the game to install the mods too.
  8. Many a tear has been shed in the past by an auto-update from Steam
  9. Thank you kindly for the kind words. The Mod Launcher will make a copy of your steam folder, then install any mods in the copy. If you have XML changes in your steam folder, these will be copied too, and will be over-written by the new mod, if they have changed the same files. You can also choose an option to download from steam completely. If you have made XML changes in your steam folder, you may want to make a copy of the game to keep your changes. If the Pimps push out an update, steam will likely auto-update and remove all your changes. Let me know if that answers your questions.
  10. I'm glad you were able to get it work, and thank you, BB_Drifter, for giving the key advice. The mix and matching of mods is usually something I do, and is possible for the user as well. However, it's not 100% straightforward about what mods are available to combine. The problem with the bigger back pack mod is that the UI needs adjustment to accommodate it. Clockwork Project has its own custom UI, so you'd have to manually adjust the values for it to work. The mix and match is more for: vanilla game + SMX Bigger back pack + compo pack, and that type.
  11. It could be the version of .NET that you have installed. TLS support came into its own in later versions. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=49981
  12. Okay, so it's a problem between hosting and your PC. You are running Windows 8? Any anti-virus or firewall? You could also try: 1) Click on Disable SSL, restart the Mod Launcher, and do another Pre-Sync or 2) Click on Check here to download from a mirror, below the Pre-Sync, and then press Pre-Sync
  13. Sorry for the trouble. Let's get you sorted out. Go back to Ravenhearst, and click on the Pre-Sync button. Then, go to the View Menu, then Log Files. Click on Upload log file, and send me the pastebin.com link.
  14. Okay, no worries. Please let me know if you need help in the future for it.
  15. I'm not sure what other mods you have tried, but Ravenhearst should be the same as about half the mods. Did you try to click on Check here to use a mirror, under the pre-sync button?
  16. For Ravenhearst, you should have a checkbox under the Pre-sync button that says: "Check here to download from a mirror" You can try that too.
  17. Sorry for the trouble. Are you running Windows 7, by any chance? If so, this might help resolve the issue: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?48537-The-7D2D-Mod-Launcher-A-Mod-Launcher-for-7-Days-to-Die&p=792405&viewfull=1#post792405
  18. I'm glad you are enjoying the mods, at least! Yes, it's a common issue, unfortunately. Isolated the saves helps a bit, but mistakes can still happen. The problem is not knowing which save belongs to which mod, since there's no unique finger print for each mod in the environment. The mods do have a mods.xml, but you can have multiple ones, such as Valmod + SMX, so it's not unique enough. The Mod Launcher may have to make its own unique id for each mod, and try to help save them.
  19. Something tells me that you've had an awful experience... I definitely need a plan to save these types of problems. Are you using the Save All Games Local to move?
  20. I'm sorry that the mod launcher is causing you issues. 30 minutes refreshing the mods is definitely not normal. If you were interested in using the mod launcher in the future, please feel free to reach out to me, and we can see if we can figure out the issue. I'm available here, and on discord, through the same username and avatar icon.
  21. Thanks Guppycur. I found this: https://superuser.com/questions/1252575/unable-to-install-clickonce-application-due-to-security-settings-windows-10 Seems like it's a local security setting that may need adjustment. If you are not comfortable with changing those settings, you could try downloading the Release.zip and seeing if it'll work for you.
  22. Would you be able to roughly translate the error message?
  23. Are you running Windows 7? https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?48537-The-7D2D-Mod-Launcher-A-Mod-Launcher-for-7-Days-to-Die&p=792405&viewfull=1#post792405 You can also try to click on Direct Download, and see if that helps.
