Metal Version of Wooden spikes

The title says it all folks. (not log spikes)

The idea behind this is to have a slightly improved version of spikes that have higher durability and a higher chance of causing bleed effect on Players, Zombies, (and Hopefully Raiders/Bandits). the durability will be only slightly worse then wood log spikes so that players will still be complied to use the log spikes for first few days of survival. but, when paired with scrap metal log spikes and barbwire this combination could prove to be very effective for players for the first three 7 day hordes. the model would be similar to some more medieval spike barricade style's; where the spiked poles sit horizontal in the frame in three different locations.

That's all the ideas I have on this subject for now. please leave a comment for your guys and gals take on this.

P.S. sorry about the bad grammar.

Sincerely,

- Doc Mockingbird

seems pretty realistic since you could do it in real life by jamming pipes in the ground and cutting/grinding the tips into sharp angles. also would like to see jagged scrap iron pieces attached to walls/floors. could be a cheap early game alternative to the Madonna boobs. nail boards could be an interesting trap that could be used to damage tires on the mini bike and vehicle.

huh, never thought about that aspect. they would very well suited for pvp in that case or just great leg rippers for zombies.

Those things are very effective at killing zombies.

If you made them more durable (but do less damage to balance them out) you'd just have another version of the big spikes. Plus another model for the purpose of having another model.

which is an excellent point; a more durable model of the wooden spikes I think would be a great addition. even if it is just a re-textured model of the wooden spikes so that it would be easier on the dev's. but, you also have to remember that Log spikes are their for its high durability and stopping power in the later game stages.

Making the wood-log spiked have another upgrade stage to use metal tips (slightly more damage, but same durability) would be a good resource sink (steel), without them throwing off the balance too much.

So the upgraded version then uses wood for stage 1, and steel for stage 2.
