Why not change the way Random Gen maps are made, have them be more variable instead of being a complete circle around the "SAFE ZONE" have it be more random, also add in a few veriations for Radiation, like levels of it ex: 4-5

 

1- Radiation Sickness lvl 1 - Curable with just pills ( Or have a radiation Suit)

2- Radiation Sickness lvl 2- Need to have a decon chamber kinda thing and more meds (Radiation suit will give you lvl 1 radiation Sick)

3- Radiation Poisoning lvl 1 - Slowly Dying but can prolong it with just pills ( Rad Suit gives some protrection and gives you lvl 2 Rad Sick)

4- Rad Poison - Similar to Rad Sick lvl 2 but dying more rapidly with same things as Rad suit dropping it to rad poison lvl 1

 

5- Instead Death

 

i think it would allow some people more challange to go get loot but have more of a chance to be exposed if you even added area's in the main part of the map that had some radiation in it as well not insta death but diff levels of RAD consitration making things little harder as well as adding higher end loots into those area's this way the RAD suits actually do something specific and people wont just use them to sell off...

They have mentioned the possibility(maybe) of doing something similar down the road. Now that the new buff and Item system is being done, it should be easy to implement just what you are saying as buffs will be able to be triggered upon equip.

The way it is now, you can attach a buff to an item but it doesn't matter if you have it equipped(wearing the item) you just need it in your bag and that doesn't work..

What Tin said. Also, if the Pimps don't do something like this the modders certainly will. The new system opens up so many doors for modding we will see no shortage of variants of this game for years to come.

 

I'm hoping that they add the ability to mod gravity so we can get some seriously cool zombie golf going on with vehicles.

In your game files you can change how far from the centre the radiation zone will spawn and can make it as many blocks wide as you wish and even have more than one radiation zone. You can also change the damage that it deals. Iv tinkered with this but not gone as far as making a radiation suit or allowing pills ect to heal it but that is possible. Everything you’ve mentioned can be done in the files. Check out some YouTube videos they will help you out
