Future console updates

 

Any update as to when the new stuff will be added to console? I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I've been looking around for news on it and I can't find any. I'm on Xbox and I really can't wait to kill the new zombies and start a new world. Any news you can share regarding the time frame were looking at? Thanks.

As soon as Claire is aware, and has been given permission to release the info, you will see a new thread in this forum section.

Same as it has always been for anything ever.

Updates

 

Ps4 needs compound bow, machete, 1 new vehicle and auto torrets. With that people will be fairly content for 6+ months.... After realizing how much the ps4 v was actually missing, I bought it on the PC to get my fill. Which was the best decision as I was able to get 3 other friends that didnt want anything to do with ps4/xbox. Doubled my RL friends playing and double fun! Sadly my PC cant handle 7days nearly as good as the ps4. Gotta turn all the video down to low for no lag. Still fun.

Back again with the news that the latest patch is going live at 01:00 UTC Thursday / 5pm PST today (Wednesday)!

 

The usual bit and the notes from the team follow below!

- You should NOT need to start a new save unless otherwise stated by the team.

- do NOT post bug reports below. They belong in the CONSOLE BUG REPORT section.

- keep posts CIVIL and RESPECTFUL when discussing or giving feedback about the patch.

- please keep the post ON TOPIC. This post is for the discussion of this patch ONLY.

- I do NOT have further info on future features, updates on MD5, Multiplayer issues and other fixes not mentioned in the notes, when I have those updates they will get their own post.

Patch 13 should be hitting your consoles today! We hope you enjoy the bug fixes and improvements. See below to see what’s included.

 

Bug Fixes and Improvements

 

Gameplay

· Fixed an issue that would prevent a smelted material from being usable, even when it was available in the Forge

· Fixed an issue that would cause the quest to find a trader to require a specific trader to be found; now it will pick the nearest trader and update the target when the player moves closer to another

· Fixed an issue that would cause the trader’s UI to close when a second player would exit a container in split-screen multiplayer

· Fixed an issue that would cause the “Cannot Breathe” indicator to vanish when underwater

· Fixed an issue that would cause stamina to decrease while walking after being teleported from a Trader settlement

· Fixed an instance of an issue that would occasionally cause blocks to spawn without support and create a mass collapse when broken

· Fixed an issue that cause interactive objects to be interacted with when an object on top of them was picked up

· Fixed an issue that allowed medical items to be used on certain inanimate objects (like minibikes)

· Fixed an issue that caused a destroyed bedroll’s indicator to persist after rejoining the game session

· Fixed an issue that would cause terrain to deform after a zombie would decay on top of it

· Fixed an issue that occasionally caused items being repaired to have their level dropped to 1

 

Art/Audio

· Fixed an issue that was causing distant terrain to render using different shaders than in previous patches

· Fixed an issue that would cause weather effects to impact hosts and clients with different severities

· Fixed an issue that caused the underwater effects to disappear when viewed through a Sniper Rifle scope

· Fixed an issue that would occasionally prevent all but the first letter of long words from being displayed on wooden signs

· Fixed an issue that allowed the player to shrink a torch in an active toolbelt slot

 

System/Stability

· Fixed a crash that would occur when combining certain clothing items on the workbench and equipping them

· Fixed an issue that would cause the world to regenerate after the console had its language changed

Is the xbox one x going to make a difference with the game or are you guys going to make an enhanced version for it and will it make a difference with the updates i was wondering also when will the console get electricity in the game do they have a time frame of when the game will be finished and would we have to buy the game again when it's finished

Not really, and not likely.

When it is ready. Hardware limitations are preventing consoles from getting much more than they have now.

Next Update

 

Hey Fun Pimps, when will Console get another update where we'll get new zombie types, items and materials to craft like paint, electrical items (like turrets, solar panels, generators, etc.), clothing (like a business suit, new shoes, etc.) zombie types (like irradiated zombies, soldier zombies, etc.) and even make the red sky during horde nights more emersive by making it start slowly fading in at 19:00 with some lightning going as time passes all the way to the start of the incoming horde at 22:00 kinda like the approach of a storm, because in Console right now the red sky immediately fades in between 21:15 to 21:20 which is so sudden and not so emersive at all.

 

I'm sorry if I'm being so demanding and asking too much from you developers, you guys made a great game no doubt about it, but can you give us Console players some news or at least a hint that you guys are currently working on it, trying to make it all work for PlayStation and Xbox and that we will get it soon?

Sorry man but TFP don’t have any control over the console iron galaxy and TT does
