SenpaiThatIngnoresYou
Tracker is great for finding the animals, but if there is a lot of grass, it becomes difficult to find where the animal fell, as there is no puddle of blood or blood trail. Since tracker marks where the animal is when alive, it should also indicate where the body is after it's been hunted.
Rotor
Lost a chicken in the tall grass? Been there done that.
theFlu
Sounds like a decent idea But since we won't run with the skill in every game, and it might help without the fix, couple thoughts around "hunting discipline". I tend to mostly kill game with melee, so just from that I don't lose that many kills. When I do pop a random chicken with ranged, I straight up beeline to the corpse; not impossible to miss even then, but just ... don't loot the bird's nest on the way 😛 Or the duffel bag. That's how you lose em. If I'm getting bothered by a zed I want to deal with before gutting, I'll run past the corpse and drop a frame next to it. Takes a couple secs extra, but the frame is visible from everywhere. (I do always keep frames on toolbar, great for plenty of things..)
Uncle Al
I think I may have put this as a suggestion in Pimp Dreams a couple of years ago, so I kind of have to agree with you! Both tracking animal corpses and combine Animal Tracker with Huntsman into a single perk. Huntsman just doesn't do enough to justify being a perk by itself, and Animal Tracker is, at best, 'drop a point in it early game and respec later'. They need some love. warmer
That is silly it doesn't just hold the halo around the animal after death. It should stay until they despawn at least. Is it because tracker times out? Maybe crouch and restart it, does that work? I am wondering if the halo completely disappears the second they die.
