"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" When trying to load into a new game.

Hi, I have just done a fresh install having never played the game before and always get the same error when trying to load into a game. It happens on both Navegaze and random generation. I have tryed it with both easy anti cheat and without. I have only tried it with "PLAY OFFLINE" selected as it will not let me connect to the epic game services, I have restarted the game maybe 20+ times and clicked retry probably another 30x and just wont connect. I have both validated files twice and done a complete redownload and reinstall having deleted all associated folders from %appdata% and steam/common. Thanks.

This may or may not help. My reference: from a clean first time install
I would get that sort of error, if i did not pick a profile character.

 

It would sometimes glitch out on me. My resolution was to set non singular profile
then I would pick a profile character. The girl with the braids/dreads.

 

basically start game, go to profile and pick one, go back to game preferences,
 change the default profile setting. Hit f1 to watch. Start game
 
 I hope its the same prob i had.

For anyone intersested i have managed to find a temp solution so that i can play it offline. I went into the games directory and opened up a text file named "platform.cfg" and changed it to this:

platform=Steam
crossplatform=
serverplatforms=Steam

This is not a true solution though as i cannot play online but i now know that it is caused by the Epic Online Services.
