Ckutajleu
Dear developers! I am very saddened by the news that the display of wires in our favorite game 7 days to die has been removed. Someone will say this is a trifle, but I will say no, and here's why. This feature gave the game an atmosphere, the bases looked more natural, which corresponds to the post-apocalypse, I doubt that a person in the conditions of the apocalypse and survival will care about wires like during euro repairs. Excuse me but this is stupid and makes the game casual. When I played with this feature, in order to remove the wires where I needed it, I thought over the layout of the base and placed them in the walls, it took time and it added complexity and atmosphere to survival. Electricity is one of my favorite elements of the game. These wires made the bases look more natural. I just want to say that this feature was a + and not a - of the game. Therefore, I beg you, please! return this feature at least as an option and the ability to turn on and off the display of wires on the server. Thank you for listening!
Riamus
You may be one of the only people who actually wants wires. For most of us, we did our best to hide the wires, which meant a lot of extra relays taking up power and a lot of extra time trying to place things in a way that hid the wires. I am very happy to see them gone. It makes wiring far less time consuming.
Ckutajleu
Taking the time to wire is part of survival. And the display of wires gives the bases a natural look. Without wires, the bases look empty. With all due respect, I understand that this is an important feature for many casual gamers. But for hardcore players like me, for whom the game is primarily atmospheric survival, this is more a - than a +. Therefore, I ask that at least an option be added that allows people to choose whether they want to display the wires or not. It is important to take into account the opinion of all players and not just certain groups.
For4ger
Totally agree, it should have been left as an option. I also really liked the look of the wires.
SylenThunder
Yeah, I recall for years Joel being extremely adamant about the visibility of the wires, and how it was part of the look and feel of the game. He probably even mentioned a few times that it wasn't something they would change. So imagine my surprise when now they are invisible. IMHO, something like this could be an option. However on a similar note, too many options just muddles the settings. As easy as the game is to mod, I would hope this could be something as simple as a flag in the xml.
Ckutajleu
Yes, the XML option seems to be the ideal solution.🤔

I don't mind losing the visible wires, but I did check the xml files this morning to see if I could find the flag. No luck so far, but I will keep an eye out for it. Someone else might already being making a mod for it.
Arma Rex
I liked them too, but I understand why other players wouldn't like the cluttered look (even though this is a post-apocalyptic world setting).
