thatloopydude
I host a dedi off of a pc in my house (not the one I am gaming on) and my main pc cant connect to it. My wife can on the gaming laptop, and other friends over the internet also can. When i try to connect it asks for the password which I enter and then it goes to "connecting to server ~server name~" after a few seconds it kicks me to the main menu. Like I said other pc's in my house and other people via the internet have no problem. Just this one pc Here is what the log shows when I try to connect 2019-07-22T02:35:41 30.027 INF [steamworks.NET] GameServer.Init successful 2019-07-22T02:35:41 30.031 INF [steamworks.NET] Making server public 2019-07-22T02:35:42 30.887 INF [steamworks.NET] GameServer.LogOn successful, SteamID=90127674010675201, public IP=98.212.172.127 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.286 INF NET: LiteNetLib: Connect from: 192.168.1.1:49799 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.306 INF Started thread NCS_Reader_1_0 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.306 INF Started thread NCS_Writer_1_0 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.313 INF Started thread NCS_Reader_1_1 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.314 INF Started thread NCS_Writer_1_1 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.314 INF [NET] PlayerConnected EntityID=-1, PlayerID='', OwnerID='', PlayerName='' 2019-07-22T02:36:02 50.315 INF NPCID.Write 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.490 INF NET: LiteNetLib: Client disconnect from: 192.168.1.1:49799 (Timeout) 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.490 INF [NET] PlayerDisconnected EntityID=-1, PlayerID='', OwnerID='', PlayerName='' 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.491 INF Player disconnected: EntityID=-1, PlayerID='', OwnerID='', PlayerName='' 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.491 INF [EAC] FreeUser: EntityID=-1, PlayerID='', OwnerID='', PlayerName='' 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.492 INF Exited thread NCS_Writer_1_1 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.492 INF Exited thread NCS_Reader_1_1 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.492 INF Exited thread NCS_Writer_1_0 2019-07-22T02:36:07 55.492 INF Exited thread NCS_Reader_1_0 Been trying to figure this out all night and dont want to spend 40 a month just to play with friends because I cant connect to my own (!@&(# server.. Any help would be wonderful. EDIT For more info; ~Malwarebytes keeps flagging an outbound connection going to 69.162.66.133 which after looking it up belongs to Limestone Networks Inc. I have excluded that ip, 7d2d.exe and all 7d2d activity to the internet in mwb yet still no luck. EDIT for thing's I've Tried; ~If I enter the wrong password it knows its wrong and says so. ~If I host a dedi off the same pc I use to play I can connect, however, everyone else has gone to bed so I don't know if they can but I'm assuming it wouldn't be an issue. ~I can connect to other servers without any issues. ~I have tried to reinstall the dedicated server pc and I have also reinstalled 7d2d on my gaming pc. ~I have tried to reinable the steamnetworking protocol as it is disabled by default. ~Tried with and without EAC

thatloopydude
Sorry been testing over the last few hour and I think i Fixed it myself. with the litenetlib disabled, I forgot to disable the steam networking. doing so seems to make the server stable. thanks again!! zootal
I disabled LiteNetLib and I could no longer connect to my own server. Re-enabled it, or more specifically I do this: <property name="ServerDisabledNetworkProtocols" value=""/> So that there are no disabled protocols, and connection problems went away. Go figure...
