I downloaded and placed the two files into the managed folder of the 7 days to die dedicated server folder and have looked around a lot on the forums and with different options for some lead on this but im just lost. ColdStranger Posted August 9, 2014 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Xyloscent do you host yourself or have a server company? if so which company? if you host yourself did you download the 7 days to die dedicated server from the steam tools menu inside the library? my issue was i had to backup, wipe my whole server, then reinstall the server. and restore the backed up world files and replace modified files. it worked after that. As long as you don't want to patch AC#.dll yourself: yup. would be nice to have a mod that when you are looking at a person you can see their name, other than the quick flash up of their name. half the time you cant even see it Too deeply into the game. Xyloscent Posted August 9, 2014 Share Posted August 9, 2014 lol, ya my bad, i was tired when i posted that and in a bit of a hurry as i was about to leave. As i said in the previous post I do have the dedicated server program downloaded from steam tools. I didn't mention, and im very embarrassed that i didn't explain more, that I host locally and just recently me and my wife have thought about opening up our games to others to enjoy as well. I picked up SM from FRT and spent a day or so last week and got that up running just fine but it always had that line at the top that says "Alloc's Server Fixes not detected". My wife asked some questions about it not being there so i looked into it and grabbed the files and put them into the dedicated server's Managed folder, that still didn't make it detected but everything else has been running fine. So i have been looking around in the program options and the forum for more instructions and or help and haven't found the answer yet so now im asking for help. Alloc Posted August 9, 2014 Author Share Posted August 9, 2014 Check the log file "output_log.txt" (probably within the dedi server folder under "7DaysToDie_Data", check if the timestamp matches so you do not get an old file) if it contains a line looking like "1.234 [7dtd-server-fixes by Alloc] Version: 0.87.5322.42196" (at least the first number will vary, depending on when you downloaded the fixes the version part might differ too). Xyloscent Posted August 9, 2014 Share Posted August 9, 2014 I want to thank everyone for their support... prompting me to look at my logs got me looking around again last night and i noticed my logs where not in the right place. Log story short I made a silly mistake, When it asked for my 7daystodie.exe path i put in the path to the main game for some reason and not the path to the Dedicated server, After changing it properly everything that i was having problems with started working just fine to my surprise as i thought some of them were unrelated problems. Ill actually be able to set everything right and use everything to my advantage now so in a few days we should be able to open our server to the masses. You need both the 7dtd-server-fixes.dll and the Assembly-CSharp.patched.dll (rename it to Assembly-CSharp.dll locally).<<<------ i did not see that Note that this will only work with the correct version of the 7dtd dedicated server.
