  1. Yeah I have been dealing with this too. I only have 12gigs, I alt tab to watch Task Manager and once 7dtd pulls about 9gigs of RAM my pc freezes. I do get a warning from pc that the virtual memory is low but when I try to pause game, screen goes black and pc freezes.

     

    You can try setting texture quality to lowest (at least UMA textures), reduce your view distance to 9 or less, disable anti-aliasing.

    Unfortunately the game is not well optimized. I have 32GB and it starting to stater when it's using "only" 15-16 GB.

  2. Hi, my game crashes when i want to continue a game. New game is fine. OS is Ubuntu using the Mod Launcher for Linux.

    This mod uses lots and lots of memory. And the Unity engine version game uses has hard limit of 16 GB. As soon as it reached game dies. You can see the last line in the logs (7DaysToDie_Data directory).

     

    Unfortunately the best I could manage to do is 2-3 days without visiting cities.

  3. About to hit horde day and still haven't found much in the way of twine. Only got 7 so far and I have been trying to search every trash pile, vehicle and house I can find....Is it just ultra rare or am I just reallllllyyy unlucky?

     

    According to loot table twine is almost everywhere. All up to RNG. I got 5 in first 3 days then 10 the next day.

  4. Day 8 on 90-min-days, and I haven't gotten dirty yet - if there hadn't been a towel quest, I wouldn't even know that hygiene is a thing in this mod. IMO the dirt chances should be much higher.

     

    Was the same for me of fist play through until day 10. Then got dirty 3 times in one day. All up to RNG Gods.

  5. Solid work! Even thou some changes making it tough early game, still loving it!

     

    The only problems I've found so far:

    - Apples from pine trees (some times with a pine cone)?

    - Fetch a walkman quest on completion caused "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

    - Barbed club is only craftable in advanced workbench but doesn't say so.

    Right, keep forgetting it's called workstation but looks like a purple forge. Sorry about that.

  7. How exactly do I craft composite bow parts? I have they clay and iron that's necessary, and it says I need a crucible for some of the parts, so I tried the forge, but it doesn't let me craft it in there despite having two of the parts highlighted. I've tried the workbench, but still nothing.

     

    If I recall you need a weapons forge to craft most weapon parts.

    You did everything right. This is the way War of the Walkers 5.2 works. You work on all classes' quests in parallel. And you can only truly complete them after finishing all 5 out of 5 sub quests for each class.

    You can see that yourself when selecting any item. It will show which x/10 skill affects it.

    For bike it is "Mechanic" skill (up to 500 quality) with additional Mechanic bonus skill (up to 600 quality).

  10. They may be nothing compared to the Village, but my map has 4 villages on it, but there are 317 Sly_Ship pois on my map.

    Wow, that's a bit too much! However out of 3 ships I found only 1 rendered, and then partially collapsed when I got close to it. Other 2 disappearing when moving close to them.

  11. Once you have obtained all three class fragments for a class (A,B,C) what is the requirement to craft them into a class paper? I have all three builder class fragments but I cannot craft anything with them. The "Craft" button is greyed out and it states I do not know the required recipe to craft.

     

    What have I missed?

    You have to complete all 5 quest for that class first. Then you will be able to craft this class paper.

    Loot on the pirate ship is way too abundant and the ship itself should spawn less frequently than it does, in water biomes if possible. It's strange to come across ships the size of Noah's Ark in the middle of the wasteland.

    They are nothing comparing to oldies retirement village. I've found 2 of those right around my town.

     

    This mod in general is very generous with loot. That's what makes it fun.

  12. Liking the mod so far! Especially new POIs. Great work! Progression is much slowed down and forces to do more looting than I'd normally do. Horde base construction is much more difficult without tools and materials. While hordes getting bigger and stronger.

     

    Found a few small bugs:

    - Beer has no buffs other than extinguishing fire (might be because of high immunity level)

    - Recipe descriptions for auger and chainsaw parts and blades says they are "Crafted in Weapon Smithing Workstation Schematic with ..."

     

    Since I'm playing single player few things seems a bit out of balance:

    - Overabundance of high level schematics (auger, chainsaw, minibike).

    - Price on blueprint paper is off comparing to price of schematics. There is no point if selling schematic (200/250/500) when 3 pieces of blue paper cost 250 each, stack better, and can be sold by 100s

    - There should be a way to recycle class paper fragments. I have number of useless class fragments (duplicates or the ones I already learned). And still can not unlock skills I really do need.

    - Prices at class wending machines are just laughable. 5 dukes for trauma bandage?

    - Lots of craftable items can be sold for big money (weapons, tools, etc) that cost almost nothing to make.

    - Construction skill is a slow grind, especially that stone axe is a mining tool now.

     

    General observations:

    - Class quests feels repetitive if not outright duplicate (kill X animals or Y zombies)

    - As others noted 10k plant fiber is excessive and pretty much unused after collecting. Anything really used in construction would be better IMO (clay, iron, sand)

    - Need to tone down first zombie hordes when players don't have good bases, weapons, armor, etc

    find the ships whole on his lets play

     

    Which disappeared after he tried to go back to it. I've seen this on the beta server. And partially on my SP play through. What might be happening is that POI collapses when you get close to it and all what's left is rubble. Ship has bad structural integrity, even picking a candle can cause it to fall apart.

     

    Anyone else having issues with things disappearing?

    Make sure you have correctly installed DLL in 7DaysToDie_Data\Managed directory. And if you playing on the server, it should have those DLLs as well.

    Then run just this:

    Did you install 7 Days to Die in Steam? If so, what is the directory it's in?
