  1. Honestly, most of the reaction icons confuse me. So many of them make no sense to me and why they're the only available options is beyond my level of understanding.

Am I too old to understand the reference of "Prime" ones? When looking at them from a normal distance, you can't tell them apart cuz they were clearly never meant to be an icon size.

What's the point of a knuckle rub reaction? If someone did that to me in real life, I'd knock their teeth out, so I can't imagine it being a positive reaction thing.

How often does the Afraid reaction get used? How weird does one need to be to be afraid of someone's post?

Like everyone else posted, I feel like the "Have a Cookie" one just seems sarcastic and rude to me. Yet, I get that one a lot when helping ppl out with their troubleshooting which just makes it confusing (that and the knuckle rub one too).

The other 6 emojis are fine, just wish there was more of those ones.

what purpose did you getting on here and commenting serve? you have no idea if right after midnight was when that person got off work and was the only time to play they have. I will never understand why people have to put a negative comment when someone asked a honest question that didnt bother anyone but the one that had talk down to them like they were doing something wrong

You join the website just to comment that? Sounds like a throw-away account to me, especially since insults are against the rules here. Maybe next time, grow a pair and post your comment from your real account.

My post was meant to be a mild roast, not a jerk comment. Why you took offense to something that likely didn't even involve you is a mystery to me. I guess I could have added some emojis to make it seem less serious as it wasn't really meant to be taken that way at all.

  3. I agree with the collar thing. Even though it's a minor hindrance, it's a dumb issue that never should have existed. This is one of the reasons why I always avoid 1st gen stuff which this kind of is since this is AMDs first time using an LGA socket (which I also kind of hate, but whatever). The previous gen Ryzen is still plenty powerful though with PCIe 4.0 lanes and stuff, or if you're patient, you can wait for AMD to iron out that socket / collar issue.

I just remembered that Intel has the exact same corrector / collar plate issue as AMD. So realistically, they both have the same issue, but Intel has the added heat issue.

  4. Have you looked at AMD boards yet? As I mentioned, they have 4 more lanes than Intel and their CPUs perform just as well if not better, especially with Intel's insane heat issues.

Last generation of GPUs that supported SLI was RTX 20xx series. There's no question about it... SLI is currently dead. That's not to say it won't make a comeback someday, but for now, there's no reason to even think about it anymore. Motherboards still advertise it and support it as fluff to make the board look like it's packed with features. Just like how there's still a lot of PSUs out there that still have a floppy drive power adapter which literally no one uses anymore.

  5. My knowledge on PCIe lanes are rusty at best as no one ever talks about it anymore, but as I understand it, AMD has 24 lanes (4 of which are reserved for the chipset and 4 more for NVME), Intel, as you mentioned, has 16+4 lanes. If my understanding is correct with AMD, then that would allow you 4 lanes (of 64GB/s per lane with the latest PCIe 5.0, 32GB/s per lane if PCIe 4.0) for sound card and network if that's what you need them for which is ridiculously overkill for something like that.

    And SLI is still dead.

Also, PCIe 5.0 can handle 64GB/s unidirectional as opposed to your ancient PCIe 2.0 with 500MB/s. So it's quite the improvement in performance I'd say. We may have less lanes to work with, but each of those lanes are far more capable than they used to be, so bottlenecks aren't likely to happen when it comes to lane sharing or whatever.

If you're really hung up on getting more lanes, then get a server CPU, like Threadripper with 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes or EPIC with I think up to 160 lanes and just suffer in gaming performance as games (and a lot of apps) don't benefit from how many total cores you have.

Speaking of games... what does any of this have to do with 7D2d?

    Oh, almost forgot...

Epic Online Service. It is the framework for future cross play. In the experimental version of A20 and probably A20.1 a lot of people had to go into the files and change the status of EOS to none in order to be able to boot up the game. It has since that time been fixed and since it has been close to a year since that problem was affecting a good chunk of the playerbase it is no wonder you didn't get what he was talking about.

This is more evidence that the OP either needs to clean his directory using the launcher tool or that he may still be playing an older version and needs to clean his data and then update to the most current version of the game.

Sound suspiciously like the "p" word if you ask me. Who chooses to play an older unstable version of a game? I understand playing an older stable version, but an unstable one?

  7. As a kickstarter for this game and still hanging around, I very much disagree with your opinions. The only thing I can somewhat agree with is that the updates have slowed down a bit too much. But given how they've already made most of their money on this game and aren't likely to make too much more at this point, why rush anything anymore? That said, to each their own I guess... devs can't satisfy everyone. There will always be a minority of players who happen to not have a good experience with the game or just cannot be satisfied.

  8. I haven't played in over a year, but if you can't loot, then doesn't that take away most farming related foods and books / blueprints? And without looting, getting feathers would be really not worth the risks at all. Good luck with blood moon with no ranged weapons.

I'd say that's completely game breaking.

If you want a fun challenge, try making it to endgame without ever using any gunpowder related things including turrets that use bullets, explosives, etc.

    or

Reach endgame without ever using wood planks for anything. No more cutting trees, you have to burn chairs and looted junk (not scraped to wood) to cook stuff and build with other materials instead of wood. Buy or use workbench / chem station at trade stations. Though I'm not sure if this one is possible as I haven't tried it.

There is only one official language in our country, not to mention the fact that calling Ukrainian a "secondary" language is quite insulting. I understand that the development of the game itself should be a priority, it is important, the game has room for development, but what's wrong with the fact that I once again offer to do a good deed with a minimal contribution. I know that adding another language to the game requires minimal effort, because I've done it myself before. Of course, someone can just make an unofficial translation of the game and throw it on nexusmods, but this person can simply disappear somewhere and stop updating the translation, especially since this happened once with the Ukrainian translation about 5 years ago. If an official translation appears, it guarantees that it will always be in the game. In other countries, it is quite possible to play with a non-native language, but we need it. I would give an example, but I don't want to get punished for discussing politics. I am in no way forcing the developers to take action, but I am hoping for some sort of response.

I didn't mean your language was secondary, I meant your language isn't a commonly used one for the rest of the world. There's nearly 8 billion ppl in the world, how many of those do you think can even speak your language at all?

If you're capable of making the translations yourself with "minimal effort", then be the hero and do it. The devs here can't speak Ukranian, so like I said, they would need to hire someone to do it and then hire them again for each new update. It'd be a waste of time and money for these devs for something very few ppl could benefit from. But maybe I'm wrong and the voting poll will climb up to a substantial enough number (with legitimate users).

  10. I remember it being annoying in the game, but for the sake of immersion, I'd say yes, definitely get that back in the game. I don't even understand why the devs removed it (like so many other cool things they removed).

I had this idea where at some point, the devs would implement it in such a way that they could smell it in wooden / non-sealed storage too so that we could lure the zombies into trap areas and replacing the bait once in a while as the food rots away. Why they never pursued that is beyond me. My best guess is they're still busy trying to remake every little feature slightly better for the hundredth time and don't have time for immersive features like this. Although I guess I should bite my tongue this time as from my understanding, they're currently working on bandits or something? Can't wait to see that (and not just from a mod).

  11. Sure, anyone can ask for implementations into the game, but it doesn't mean it'll ever happen, especially if it fits in the minority category as I already mentioned. From my understanding, there are 9 more main languages that should get implemented before a minor language like Ukrainian.

Also, I can see problems with having random ppl on the internet creating free translation files for a popular game like this, especially given the current obvious situations right now. So I doubt these devs would accept something like that officially implemented without first hiring someone to proofread it. Maybe nexusmods website has translation files you can use, or maybe someone can make one and upload it there. It's what that website is for anyway.

  12. You're obviously a very small minority with this issue or the devs would have already done something about this several years ago. There are 7106 total languages out there, 23 of which are considered as main languages, Ukrainian isn't recognized as one of them. Imagine if every game had to create translations for every language. You should be thankful for the current 14 languages that are in the game as it takes time and money to make each translation and a person who actually speaks the language (and English) to translate everything.

EDIT: If a dev can't expect to make additional money from translating a game, then it's financially dumb (and a waste of time) to do it hence why most games only do a few translations if at all, and this one does 14 which is a lot for an Indie game. You can't expect a game to have every single language. Those who speak the lesser known languages are often capable of speaking more common ones too as proven with this topic filled with well spoken English. Those who can't speak at least one main language, I imagine don't game much if at all, but that's just my opinion as I can't imagine anyone knowing for sure.

  13. How to Port Forward a TP-Link Router
    1. Step 1: Login to the TP-Link router via web browser using 192.168.0.1 (although, according to google, the default is 192.168.1.1, so try both if one doesn't work). The default username is admin and password is admin.
    2. Step 2: Click on “Forwarding” and then “Virtual Servers.”
    3. Step 3: Click “Add New.”
    4. Step 4: Enter the Service Port, Internal Port and the local IP Address of your computer (usually 192.168.0.##). Ports needing to be forwarded are 26900, 26901, 26902 and 26903. I always get the service and internal ports confusing, so I would just put the same ports in both places.
    5. Step 5: Click “Save.”

If you have Windows 10 or newer operating system, then unfortunately, you and everyone else are forced to have Windows Defender. We all hate it, but Microsoft doesn't care.

You can find it at the bottom near the clock (the icon is a white shield, called Windows Security). If you click on it, it'll bring you to a menu where you can disable the firewall and antivirus temporarily while you game. Working with SylenThunder's suggestion, try disabling both completely at least temporarily to see if that has any effect on the game. If it does have a big effect, then go through the procedure of adding the game to the exclusion list (or just disable both every time you want to game online).

  14. Maybe I can help with the router port forwarding...

What brand name is your router, or do you have one of those modem / router combo (meaning it came with the internet provider)? If you have just the wireless modem / router combo thing, then you might be locked out of it, or at least most of the features, but it might still offer port forwarding.

    Linksys is usually 192.168.1.1

    DLink is usually 192.168.0.1

    Asus is usually 192.168.50.1

Others can be googled (or you can use ipconfig in command prompt)... but basically, you enter those digits in the browser address and it'll give you a login screen which is usually admin or Administrator as username with no password or some default password that is usually marked somewhere or can be googled. Once inside, it's just a matter of finding the port forward option.
