  1. just a shot in the dark, but i would check that the Localization.txt and Localization - Quest.txt files are in the proper encoding and format (line breaks) on the server and that they are present and up to date on your local client.
  2. would it work if we just had an ECO/HD battery bank/Generator that only allowed their type of items like the tools do?
  3. There is a separate server side DLL file that needs to be downloaded and placed on the server in the \7DaysToDieServer_Data\Managed folder. Note that this is a different location than a local install.
  4. A player on my server ran into this same problem. The "Kevlar Armor" and the "Iron Armor" have the same issue. in the progression.xml file, It looks like they both have a skill_point_cost_multiplier of 0.2 and 0.1667 which is causing them to have a sub 1pt cost at some difficulties making their cost NA and a message stating that the skill is not purchasable. The solution looks to be to change this multiplier to "0" to give it the point cost back and allow it to be purchased. Should be an easy fix.
  5. calipers drop in working stiffs boxes and the utility worker zombies...try raiding a construction site. Bullet recipes may have prerequisites not met...look up the recipe in your skills tab and see...556 requires ammo crafting level 4 and hollow tip are even higher.

As mentioned in [link]https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?64762-How-to-lower-mining-EXP[/link] post and confirmed by Gazz, lowering Mining XP may lead to 0 xp for mining since it truncates xp to integers and anything less than 1 is 0. His solution would was to raise the cost to level the character in general and then raise the zombie xp to bring back to balance. which goes back to my previous comment that balancing is hard. Taking out the auger should slow them down, but if they are determined, it wont stop them for long. I got to level 50 in 3 in game days just starting with the class that gave the diamond tipped pick and pumping all points into stamina, miner 69 and bad mechanic. Maybe the better solution is to make gas way more scarce and hard to produce so they have to decide how to spend it.
  7. I am not sure that Augers are the problem, but rather a symptom (and the most visible) of the bigger balance issue that A16 expanded upon from A15. Mining in all its forms compounds XP as it goes. The problem is that there are plenty of skills and perks and items that each have a cumulative effect on XP gained since the XP you get is tied to how many resources are returned per harvest. So, each better tool gives more resources, which gives more XP. Then add on skills/perks that increase yield...so more XP per swing. then compund with perks/skills that increase stamina, lower stamina loss, or regen stamina faster (or all 3) and the number of harvests per minute increase. So, you end up with swinging faster, harder, and longer for insane XP. There is no other grind in the game that can match it...not because they dont have the same effect described above (you can do the same with most), but because the "resource" (zombies,loot containers, skill ups) are more spread out and cannot be done continuously. All that being said, balancing mining without impacting other areas of the game is hard.

When looking at Survivalist Class Training Level 3 (either in progress or complete), i am getting an error that repeats until i crash out of the game. it looks like the class quest is rewarding <reward type="Skill" id="Pistol Recipe" value="1" /> but that perk is commented out in the Progression file with the message "Removed V5.1.3" Also, the Explosive Speed Trap has no icon associated with it in the inventory.
  9. He is defined in the entityclasses.xml file. The issue seems to be near the end of the file, he is assigned 10mmBulletBandit which is commented out in the items.xml file...probably needs to be changed to 9mmBanditBullet

  11. That fixed it. removing the TempMods folder from the steam dir (or just the new mod) lets it sync. The reason that my Steam folder has a TempMods folder is that i have patched the zombie textures into it so that it is in all the mods i clone from it...but that seems to be the conflict...maybe a area for improvement (either it ignoring the existing stuff or a flag to install that patch on every mod install) Thanks for the help

  15. Sphereii, I am trying to use War of the Walkers Bigger Backpack from your launcher, but it will not download the mod properly. I am using Advanced Mode and installing various mods into seperate folders under c:\7D2D. Other mods are working properly. I have tried both copy from existing and download from steam to get the base files fine. when i test mod sync or play mod, i get a series of messages and no mods installed: Clone Mode Detected. As a side note, if i do the initial copy of the base game files and then switch to basic mode and point the launcher to the specific directory created, it will sync the mod...but that seems like a horribly round about way to do things, doesnt make playing other mods easy, and not sure my player base will be able to do manual workarounds.
  16. The first error in the file says that the swatHelmetLight is defined in the Localization.txt file multiple times. in my file, i see it on line 6054 and 6144 it then is complaining that some of the icons in Mods\WaroftheWalkersMod\ItemIcons already exist in the game.
  17. While completing the wood working quest that asks to gather 1000 planks, i did not get the reward book in my inventory. My bag was basically empty and did not see an item with or without an picture in there to gain my skillup. I also checked on the ground, but not there either. Is there any way to progress? or is this character basically screwed and now cannot make wood? Not that it maters a whole bunch, since 16.3 just dropped and everyone has to redo their mods again...and start new maps cause they changed the core chunk generation that will mess up existing maps.

  19. If the error annoys you, you can always place an empty file in the proper spot named densitymismatch.json As soon as it sees the file, it will no longer throw the error.
