  1.  Good day Subquake

     

    Question .. when using the Mod Launcher for your game .. does your mod auto "Pre-Sync" when just hitting Play mod .. The reason I ask is it take about 5-6 minutes for the launcher to get the game loaded just the game screen and then another 3 minutes to get into game after hitting continue at the game load screen ...... and .. I just reloaded everything I had for the launcher on a SSD, thinking that would help .. but it takes just as long as when I had it on a HD.

    Or is it just the nature of the beast (mod) for long loads .. Just wondering 🤔

    I Have a Request .. can you add a smaller area under small when using the advance setting for biomes  .. even since version 10 .. now when using small ( the areas are larger than they used to be ) they are about the size of medium was now. I clean the folder after each use, so there is no carry over to the next map. I trashed 7 maps yesterday, because the deserts were larger than I wanted " don't know it is combined together somehow as smalls becoming bigger or what.

     

    This old guy would appreciate it, if at all possible.

    Quick question .. Can I use a map that I made with KingGen .. with all vanilla poi's .. it has no wastelands or burnt forest or should I make a random one only using the undead version. I know you have made some changes to the poi's, but wasn't sure if it will work with mine

    I think we have an issue .. 

    First picture should be settings and second picture is what I got .. world fold was put into Gen folder .. but I don't want to try and run it in Game.

     

    Until I get the all clear .. First time I ran KingGen .. all I got was error report ( so I uninstalled and re-installed, thinking maybe bad download)

    - I reloaded twice and still had the issue present. Obviously just bad luck.

    There is one more option on the marbling block I Forgot to say .. Hit F1, brings up the command window and type .... ( pois ) .... without the ( ) and hit enter .. that will also get ready of those blocks, but it also will mess up the distance viewing.              Just after thought.

    The bug is: lootable containers have a visible, but walk-through-able block placed in the middle of themselves. Well, this is purely an aesthetic problem but sometimes it mixes meshes of prefabs as well so that ""visible but "walk-through-able""" blocks are placed in front of doors so you still can enter the building but will become very surprised by zombies. And you will have a hard time exploring as every wall could potentially contain the door to the next room. The last time I had it with the Butcher Petes vanilla prefab.

    Just wanted to let you know guys. Keep up the great work!

     

    I Can confirm .. That is an Old Vanilla Issue and I used to get it all the time .. 

    I was talking with Roland of TFP and he said to turn OFF the " Occlusion " in the game video setting and it did work for me as a work around. This was mainly for the popping in and out on items and container effect after setting turrets (SMG and Shotgun) ... BUT it also has helped with the marbling effect of blocks. .."SO Far"

    I was able to get an 8k to load on here .... this one shows the NE corner not connected by road to the rest of map (top area North down along the East side to desert)  Hope that helps. ........ I also was able to make 1 map that was void of Traders for the most part of the center to the lower half of the map as in a upside down cone and had about 5 cities in it boundaries. ...... And even this one is pretty lacking in Traders with setting at increased.  "setting for desert, snow and burnt were on small"

    There is one or the other the way I read it .. not .. "1 in both a city and town at the same time" .. basically you would be doubling the traders.

     

    The upload was only 40.6 mb so it should have gone .. even tried one with just the map as a separate load and still won't. 

    What I thought might work with raising height map from 60 to 61 was a disaster, won't do that again .. most every place that had buildings on it .. looked like this .. Lol.

     

    I'll watch your video's on " How To " and see it might help or this old brain takes it in ... Thank again and I will be back ... the Old Gamer .. 😌

    What's the option "cities and towns"?

    I can't change the protection of traders... that is a game thing, I do not control that in the generation.

    Regarding the floating blocks. I have noticed that the game lowers the generated heightmap by around 0.5 blocks, maybe less... Perhaps if I added 0.5 everywhere the problem would be fixed... I have to test that.

     

    I tried several times to upload a 10k map, that I just made today from KingGen v10  ... which 10k and larger are the ones that seem to have most issues .. but they keep getting error message "error 200" ..... The 8k don't seem to have an issue with roads.

     

    Cities and Towns may have 1 trader each ..... or ..... 1 trader per city and town

    I've seen the same thing with the vanilla RWG (floating blocks).  It seems to be the terrain block underneath that is the issue.  Putting a wooden frame next to it seems to fix it when I come across it on POIs I take over for bases (I am not that OCD that I have to do it for all POIs in the game).  It will be interesting if KingSlayers solution works.

     

    Placing a wood frame does work on one side only .. Walls you can do both, but that a pain and when doing building, well the funny thing is I did 1 bldg once and it fell down shouldn't have, but did.

    Haven't had a chance to SEE what going from 60 to 61 will do yet .. but I will sometime today I hope.

    A couple of question ..

    How would I go about connecting all the cities with at least 1 roadway in and out .. in simple terms for this 74yr old gamer. Because it seems that every map I make at least 50% are not connect .. other than overland express. (or maybe a option to do so)

     

    Also .. you've done a great job with increased Traders .. but could you add "cities and towns" as an option .. OK, I admit it .. I like traders in a game, maybe more Jen's would be nice, Lol. .. Also I was thinking maybe a option for "unprotected traders" if that is even possible in the future. 

     

    Thank you for adding a simple height adjustment, because some of cities are having issues with roads being lower than the buildings and you get that float effect as in the picture .. So I was thinking if I raise the height map by 1 .. it would help, so in my latest map I set it to 61 and hope that will work.

     

    Anyway .. I do enjoy your mod system. Take Care and Be Safe ... the Old Gamer .. 😌

     

    This is the wall of the Nuclear powerplant from CP47 for your mod .. but I get it with vanilla poi's also.

    I never noticed this warning under A19.4 .. But have started getting lately .. it's minor .. but you might want to check it out.

    Nitro isnt abandoned quite yet, but at the rate King is updating, its quickly being surpassed. :)

    Would love to see this feature in KingGen ... I personally do like 1 traders per city and town (as long as they next to each other)

    I have a Problem Now .. I totally uninstalled and Reinstalled 7D2D game to make sure I had a Clean Game and Now using KingGen with Your Combo-pack

    I CAN NOT get any of the custom building to show on map .. they are all Vanilla building ... I tried _ 2 - 8k and 1 - 10k .. the maps look good, but no custom buildings ........ and using a Large Grid " Look a bit empty ", Lol ........... Here is a copy of the work page.

    DO I also need to add the CP47 to the Vanilla prefab folder in the game folder ?? for it to generate properly. 

    I did not at this time, because of the way your system works .. didn't think I had to.

    EDIT: .. Ok .. After reading again .. I do need to put the CP47 .. Prefab list folder into game folder and replace the existing one and I will save the Vanilla one  untouched ........ if I read it correctly .. I give it a try and hope.

However you are using outdated and old versions of the pois this is why your pois are badly spawned. so new maps wont fix that.  You need to update your prefabs in your prefabs folder because as of cp46 many pois went thru fixes and changes.

    not talking bout the list lol. the list you have is correct. your prefabs in your game prefab folder are old versions (possibly as far back as cp45 or before)

     

    OK .. there could been some Old Files within game folder .. SO I JUST uninstalled 7d2d and reinstalled ALL New game files from Steam .. delete everything that was related to TFP even in the App files .. SO we we will be starting with a 100% fresh game and a new CP47 file. ( Might have been some old files from Nitrogen or War3zuk in the old stuff. ) 

    WE Shall Build AGAIN ... Stable A19.4 b7

    The error with the elevation of pois is caused by the poi list. If you made that list yourself, than you have to check the "yoffset" parameter of the floating pois. If you are using the official list distributed with CP, then please report the issue to the CP creators (I can put you in touch if you need to).

     

    No .. That List is as copied from webpage link as noted on print out .. un-touched by me and those were just few that would have to be fixed.

    I have it on my F drive and this is all I get after making a map and yes, I'm using the Custom Map CP47 for KingGen .

    I have building on mound of dirt and Found way down in the ground .. including photo's attached of a couple .. they are Randomly place on the map .

     

    I did a Vanilla game map .. But there wasn't that many of buildings for me to play with on a 10k map, even when using increased setting .. I do not play with wastelands and that is why I like to build my own maps .. I use small for burnt and snow and large on forest ... Here is my currant map 8k with custom CP47.
