Unauthorized Access Exception

A user has played over 600 hours in 7 Days to Die and then suddenly when trying to play the game experienced an error that denied him access to his files in appdata. Here is an excerpt showing the problem areas as I see them. Any advice or help on reversing whatever happened that caused him to be unauthorized to connect to his own game?

Thanks for this Roland,

I'm playing on a mp game i started myself on my own computer, secured with a password. A friend of mine used to join occasionly, but lately not anymore. I play almost daily normally and there's, like i said, no problem until end of last week. The last time i started a new game is about 6 weeks ago. It was a random gen game and i was about to have a 28th day in it when the problem occured.

About the problem, it occurs when i start up the game. I see the "fun pimps" splash, then the "loading 0-100%" screen and then the screen of wich i sent you the screenshot. So it doesn't occur when i start to play a saved game or anything. All i do is start up 7 days to die and the console pops up.

Hope someone can help :)

Sounds like the update went from. Did you make a clean reinstall for A15?

That includes:

-manually deleting the 7 Days To Die folder

-deleting the AppData/Roaming/7DaysToDie/ folder (backup your savegames)

-delete the HKEY_Current_User/Software/The Fun Pimps folder in the registry (type in regedit in the windows search)

I'll do it again tonight, doing exactly what you describe here. What i did was delete local files in steam, delete 7D2D folder in my steam library, Run C-Cleaner, cleaning registry and reboot computer (the long way). after this i reinstalled the game and encountered the same problem. Will probably need to google this regedit stuff tonight and will also delete the appdata folder as you described. will let you know!

As you're not the first one to report this (though it should never happen at all ;) ) would you mind letting me check what's actually wrong in a TeamViewer session? If so, please send me a PM with a time that would be ok for you.
