Moving Save Files

Dev Team, PLEASE explain how save files work.

In most games you have save folder. One file = one save.

In 7dtd on other hand, there is world file, there is save file and there is xml file.

I need to transfer game from Linux PC to Linux Dedicates Server. How do I go about it?

What specific folders and files must i transfer and what spefifically I must have in XML file?

Any documentation i find online is TRASH. This is closed sourced application, so it's on DEVS to explain how to back up or transfer saves.
Please be kind, and explain this frustrating information.

I appreciate you answered this, but I am afraid that link provided  had absolutely nothing useful on migration of world/save files. It explicitly or implicitly does not state what files to move where.

It may not tell you most filenames, but it tells you the folders.  And you would copy all the files for the specified world from those folders.  Click on the info about migrating saves and be sure you click on "next" at the bottom.  Everything is there.

You need two folders. The save folder you can find by opening the launcher/tools menu and selecting "Open savegame folder".
And the corresponding world folder which depends on what world the save is based on. If it's Navezgane or one of the Pregens
it's included in the dedi so you don't need to copy it. If it's a random generated world it will be in a folder called
"GeneratedWorlds" which is in same folder that you found your savegame.
