Anyone get "Could not fully initialize Epic Online Services" at start up?

Game works fine in offline mode

 

If Steam is online it freezes after the "Loading block textures" message 

 

Is frozen for a bit then pops up the error message

 

Any suggested fixes - thanks

Post your entire log file by going to pastebin.com, paste a copy of the log and post the link generated. Precise instructions are in the pinned topics at the top of the Support forum. That being said, off the top of my head, you might try and create an exclusion in your antivirus software for the game folder and the saves folder. Turning off antivirus is not enough since they still run some background processes. Short of that, we would need to see your logs.

I don’t see any other issues so I hope the exclusion in your antivirus works. Something is blocking the connection to Epic Online Services and in other players with the same issue it turned out to be either the antivirus or other software that attempts to optimize your network. If you use any network-optimizing software, be sure to turn it off while playing 7 Days.

Sadly that did not work - I have to dig around to see if my rig uses any optimization software.
