I have mastered the art of dismounting, turning around and spearing them to death. Getting on a bike seems to be the most effective way to get them to come down. Not nearly as bad as last week when I went back to Alpha 16 for funsies and my muscle memory moved me back and around a step in response to the way the zombies used to do that stagger thing.
