Weird bugs Darkness Falls A19: 1. ladder teleport and 2. aim while sneaking

Hi community,

I have been playing 7dtd a few hundred hours now. Awesome game, but since a few weeks I wanted a new experience: Darkness falls.

I installed the mod several times: by ''hand'' and by the mod launcher, but I have had the same bugs with both installation methods:

- While sneaking, my aim for melee combat and tool usage seems way off: a few blocks above where I actually aim (hitting blocks above visible in my screen). When not sneaking the aim is normal, but back in sneaking without moving the mouse, made the hitbox a few blocks above where I actually aim.

This makes it very hard to hit sleepers while sneaking, because I have been hitting the ceiling instead of the zombies.

- Sneaking on a ladder makes me like god mode, up in the air. When pressing spacebar, while pressing ''sneak'' on a ladder makes me teleport onto the sky! Unleashing the sneak button teleports me back onto the ladder, but this is scaring me very much! I saw my little, short few day life in the Darkness fall world, literally fly away.

The first time this happens, I thought installing the mod by the modlauncher, it would make the bugs to dissappear, but it didnt.

Does someone have an idea how to fix this?

Cheers,

Marc

  • MarcvW changed the title to Weird bugs Darkness Falls A19: 1. ladder teleport and 2. aim while sneaking

Thanks for the quick repons.

So if Im correct, when copying the 7dtd folder to another map, delete the ''Mod'' folder entirely and copy the 3 maps from Darkness Falls straight in?

I downloaded DF from https://7daystodiemods.com/darkness-falls-mod/ under 19 versions, is that the most updated one? I have been playing 7dtd on 19.3 version.

First time using a mod in 7dtd actually, so pretty newb on that ;).

The first link I provided will take you to the 19.3 version. When you make a copy of your 7 Days to Die folder, it should be a vanilla, (no mods) copy.

You start with a clean copy of the game and then install the DF mod, and only the DF mod. Any other mods will likely break the game.
