How to get a double horde?

I don't know why this works, but it works on these parameters:

 

Insane difficulty

60min days

12 hour night cycle.
Game Stage around 40 right now.

 

The issue is at this low stage the hordes mop-up around 0100 to 0200 hours, maybe 0300 hours. But Night goes till 10:00 hours in the 12 hour cycle so it seems. If you log-out of the single player and log-back-in to the single player, you get another horde that then ends at 10:00 hours.

Not sure if that's a glitch just specific to those game settings?

It's working as designed. On default settings, "night" should be over at 0400 and the Blood Moon Horde also ends at that time. But if you log out before then, the horde will restart from the beginning. You could have 2 or 3 hordes if you are efficient enough at killing them!

Thanks, yeah with the 12 hour setting I was able to pack in 4 full hordes before the first horde night (day 2). Lots of low-level trashy loot lol.

The same happens on servers when anyone joins the server during horde night as the game will spawn them a horde of their own if they are far enough away from a active horde or just add more to the active one.
