At one point (A15 I think) they did, and it was a lot of fun to dig a pit ten or twelve levels deep to watch them fall and lose their legs... Is it still an option in A18? I only ask because I wonder if my Morlock game might benefit from a few of them but I don't know if i want to expend the energy doing it if it is only going to let a horde have a comfy place to hang out and dig from.
