  1. HEHE, that sounds like really quick thing to fix (not!!!). Presumably though, if I created lines for the names I see in-game I could add in the english text for each ("Survivor" or "Bandit" for example). Might just try it. Thanks for the reply. Enjoy your day.
  2. @KhaineGBI noticed recently that all the NPC survivors have names like DFFemaleSurvivor or DFMaleBandit. I presume this is a bug, thought I'd mention it. I'm running v3.5 (downloaded May 30th). Probably a localization issue, but not something I know how to correct myself. I did load the localization.txt file into a spreadsheet and it looks to be fully populated (it has "Survivor" under the english column), but that is as far as I can take it. Not a game ender as I rarely interact with the wandering NPC's.
  3. I believe it was a desert biome area. I can make the suggested edit, but how can I regenerate the region in question? I used a tool to try to identify the region file, but it failed me (no corresponding coordinate file found). BTW: I enjoy this mod, thanks for making it!
  4. I ran into a problem this weekend and I had to abandon my game (running v3.5 on A19.5 stable, using Mod Launcher). I was playing on DFalls-VSmall1, I went to Trader Joel (I think), then started exploring the town around the trader. As I followed the road northward (following the towns outer road) I received an error in the console, then as I kept driving North I started sinking into the ground, I backed up and went South, then hit an invisible wall, then I went East and hit an invisible wall. I've had this once before and the fix was to exit and reload, then leave the area by moving toward a known good area and saving/reloading at the invisible walls until the issue goes way). This time I cannot reload, it is stuck at the respawning stage (the world never renders, I just see the default loading image after the music fades). Player position is -436.3, 64.8, 2101.6 (which would be SE of the road I was on that triggered the error messages) I received two console errors during load (in red text). -397, 74, 2144 Block cntCollapsedSolarbank -371, 66, 2128 Block rockResourceBroke2 (this is what I wrote down, hope I got the whole line) I suspect there is a poi in this area that is not compatible and it broke something. If it is the map anyone should be able to reproduce it by starting at the trader closest to the player coordinates noted above and following the road northward. I tried to force kill my player by ID, but nothing happened (well, I heard my player die, but nothing happened visually). I also tried to teleport away, but still nothing (world never renders). I may have not entered in valid coordinates, so this could be user error. I tried to remove the specific region file from the save directory, but the tool I used said I was at 4, -1 and there is no region file by that number in the save folder...so...yeah. Not expecting a fix, but thought I'd report it in case it can be fixed for others. I think I'll try an RWG 6k map next as long as I can get one with enough books in it (plus the three DF prefabs of course).
  5. Experiencing this issue on my 5th Gen Intel NUC (on lowest settings, single player, Navisgane map). Normally experienced when activating a quest POI. Not sure how much memory was being used at the time, but the 'workaround' for me is to face away from the POI, quit, reboot and reload (just reloading does not always seem to work). I'll try to record the RSS value the next time it happens. One time I activated a POI, it was bad, so I reloaded and re-activated the POI, it seemed okay, but I still had some issues later with ghost blocks). Primary symptoms: -sink bowl texture on windows -metal sheeting on vertical flat surfaces -grey blocks inside trash piles -black marble walls or pillars in open areas (you can walk through them, sometimes they are one-sided) -'ghost' blocks in random places (usually in open areas), often a wood texture I also have on one instance rebooted and reloaded and the problem persisted. If a POI has multiple versions (to randomize the courier satchel location perhaps), the problem could be related to one or more of the versions that get loaded. If this is the case it could explain why reloading clears up the issue (if 2 of 5 are bad, I'd have a 3 in 5 chance of getting a good copy). I can recall the issue most frequently with the corner shop NE of Trader Jen (the quest giver) by the bridges, and the Shamway factory to the South. More info: My (old) laptop has a GeForce 720m with 2gb of ram, same settings, same save file, and I've not noticed the issue on it since I've been watching for it. This leads me think part of the issue is memory management as the NUC (Intel Iris 6100) uses system RAM as video RAM and there could be a latency or allocation overhead the laptop does not suffer from. On the laptop I can game for 10 hours, no issues. The NUC, probably experience the issue one or more times per session, sometimes very early. Both systems have 16GB of RAM and SSD drives (the one in the laptop is slower spec than the one in the NUC). Summary: -Intel NUC (Iris 6100) has the issue -Laptop (GeForce 720m 2GB) does not
