Unfortunately, there are issues in A20 with the vehicle manager that can cause vehicles to not be where they physically are after logging out (A crash would log you out, technically). You can try re-tracing your steps, as the vehicle is likely "registered" farther back on the path you took to where you crashed. They should be resolved in a future build.
I will look into the crashing while changing settings on a vehicle in the meantime, thank you!
