thank god, now it can be released without throwing the water programmer into depression because his work seems considered as not that important.

You know a company is responsible for their employee's health.

Do you crunch a water programmer? Or is it more 'sploosh'?

After about 10 quests you will be promoted to T2 quests. The problem is if you get the same POIs after 5 quests already.

How many (questable) POIs does a typical town have? If we say that it needs 10 each of tier 1 and 2 and at least 5 tier3 (at that point you should easily be able to travel to adjacent towns for quests) then a town would need to have at least 25 buildings, which seems a lot. One solution would be to place a lot more wilderness POIs that act as viable quest buildings in reach of multiple towns.

Since wilderness seemed too empty in previous alphas that solution would kill two birds with one stone. Laz Man, how many wilderness POIs did you add this alpha ?  😉

What I mean is, you start 5 different playthroughs and odds are you'll have the same T1 quest POIs available each time. The Pass N Gas with the dirt pile out front, the farm with the skip, the L shaped house where you enter via a ladder to the loft etc Almost always get these POIs as T1 quests on each playthrough, I guess because they're all set to spawn near the trader.

Usually there are enough POIs of 1-3 levels in the city so that they do not repeat. The problem is that the maximum radius is set for quests in which the search for a suitable POI is performed, so that the player does not have to run 1 km on foot from the merchant to the task of the first level. If we increase the radius, we can get more choices. If we exclude POIs from the list after completing the task, we will not receive repetitions.
In order not to worry about the distance for entry-level quests, I would give out a bike as a reward for the initial quest.

What I'm hoping for is the change to traders not always being at that entrance tile will help with this. As the entrance tile seems to always be the same 'zone' resulting in the same nearby POIs

The quest list has undergone some improvements.  I believe you shouldn't get the same POI in your list as often after completing one there previously.

I'm hoping with the changes to how POIs spawn, the first T1 quests we get wont all be from the same like 10 POIs or so like it is now

    Let me guess. Diablo 4 ? 😉

EDIT: By the way I also hope for the 10th-12th weekend. Has nothing to do with Diablo but my favorite streamer is out of town during the first weekend in june.

Actually same as you, the streamer I'd watch isn't available that weekend and I'm not available the weekend after the 10th-12th so it's the only one that works for me

Roland and now Crator Creator have regular communications with the dev team so their estimates are pretty good.

With that said, It is most likely not happening this coming Monday.

Will see how things go for the following week.  Keeping my fingers and toes crossed...

Is it bad that I'm hoping it misses another week and slips til the 10th-12th weekend? 😝 Purely selfish reasons of course

    So, about 25 more days.

For me, if it's not this weekend, I'm ok with 25 days haha

Though if it is that far off, I wouldn't mind another stream, a playthrough of some sorts

His point is probably about pulicity, not about playing them.

Exactly. I think there's a decent overlap between players and streamers when it comes to 7 Days and D4 (despite them being vastly different games).

Streamer weekend and I'd imagine the first week or so of Exp release are essentially big adverts to sell the game, if D4 dilutes the streaming and playing audience, then streamer weekend isn't as valuable as it could have been

Maybe the Fun Pimps don't care about that, I'm just speculating reasons they might avoid a particular weekend

Sorry, D4 comes out beginning of june, can you wait till 3rd week of june before dropping 21? <runs and hides> lol

I'd have thought they would avoid the D4 release week, I certainly would in their shoes. While it doesn't necessarily interfere with a Streamer Weekend, it would be taking both players and eyes off A21 the day after it releases in Exp

I feel similar to Memorial Day weekend, US people probably have stuff planned so again would be losing both eyes on streams and potentially streamers. But I've heard conflicting things about how much TFP take that weekend into account

  9. I'm kinda hoping for the weekend of the 20th too. It sits between the two Diablo 4 events, it avoids the major holidays and it's soon enough after the end of the dev streams to keep the hype up

But then, if it's just not ready that ruins that

We have talked about death penalties, but there are no changes in A21. I'd prefer a simple you are 1% infected on res.

But then being infected isn't really much of a problem either. It's almost as trivial as the water pre-A21

  11. I'm not surprised to see a bit of a negative reaction to that female character model/outfit. I immediately saw the Lara Croft parallels, but as someone else mentioned, it kinda feels like a cosplay outfit for a photoshoot rather than something suited to the apocalypse.

But I don't think it's massively different from how the aesthetics of the Stripper or Jen models are. 7 Days has always had quite a stylized look to it and never took "practicality" too seriously, so for me, it fits in with the established 7 Days aesthetic.

Having said that, I'm speaking from a male perspective so I can't really speak to how a woman might feel seeing a character model like that
