    DF reinstates the "Wellness" stat from Alpha 16. Read the Wellness entry in your Journal for more info.

  2. Hi everyone

     

    I have fixed some bugs that I found:

    Fixed a bug where the seeds could not be planted, they disappeared (jungleseed, desertseed, alpineseed, palmseed), corrected the icon folder, now if it shows them.

    I currently use Baseline Biome Overhaul and Biome particles effects, A18.4 stable.

    It's not the Biome Overhauls or the modlets (i.e. particles, wind etc.) that are the problem. They work fine. So does lighting. It's the textures that are the problem. I have a HUGE amount of time on my hands and would be willing - but DUST2DEATH says it's not worth it so I'll take him at his word.

  3. Is there a trick to get bear kills to register for either of the quests requiring you to kill them? I must have killed 50 of them, but I'm still 0/3 on one and 0/1 on the other. All the rest of the animal kills register for the quests. Thanks.

     

    That would be LIVE bears, not zombie ones. Yeah, it should be more specific. Unfortunately, there's a buttload more dead ones than live ones. Doable though. Mountains, snow. Good luck!

  4. You are correct sir! You are a great help scubahalo. Since you seem to be a genius, perhaps you can tell me why this odd thing is happening - when the game starts I am able to harvest a peach/orange tree. I cannot tell which it is. Once I've done that the first time it won't allow me to do it again. I suspect it's a bug. Would you have any ideas about this issue? I appreciate the assistance.

     

    In the client version when you hit orange/apple trees with an axe or whatever to harvest the fruit it goes bare IIRC. The tree will eventually grow fruit again but not if you chop it down completely. The banana and coconut trees get smaller when you harvest them and will eventually return to normal size and be harvestable again. Unless you chop them down completely, of course. I'm not sure if the server version is different or not. I've never played it.

  5. HI. LOVING this mod. Question - I see videos in which people starting a new game get two skill books. I am only getting one. Is that intentional, or is there some way I can get two skill books at the beginning of a new game? Thank you for any help offered.

     

    Two skill books is on the single player version. One skill book on the server version.

  6. DF isn't installed. You can tell cos th background is wrong.

     

    Yes, that was an image of Rosebud on vanilla - so definitely no DF installed. I just used it as an example of what I was trying to do. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the other info though! I'll just go back to Navezgane - not a fan of the tossed salad maps unfortunately. :crushed:

    Yes you can :)

     

    I tried using the "Rosebud" seed but it turned out all jacked up. I assume that has to do with DF Wasteland/Radiation Zones vs vanilla but I'm trying to create a map that makes sense, i.e., Snow/Forest at the top and Desert/Wasteland at the bottom like Rosebud:

    Anybody have experience with this? Should I look into NitroGen? Also, how do you set your initial spawn point in a particular Biome? Client not server.

  8. Re HDHQ he recommended against it. I was looking at it just before v2.5 and he said to steer away. But you can use HDHQ particles without issue he said they were ok. I also put in the plants after reading some posts from Khaine and Donovan because I love what the plants do to the game. They seem to work fine and I even use HDHQ pickup plants only.

     

    I'm running HDHQ 18.4b4 Lighting, Plants - Wind, Particles, and all the Biome Packs with DF and have no issues. HDHQ Textures are a nogo at this time unfortunately.

  9. How do you craft the work bench? I've been struggeling for days trying to figure this one out. I'm sure its something simple I'm just missing.

     

    You need to unlock it. It's on page 2 of the PERKS section (right beside the ACTION SKILLS). Look for WORKBENCHES. If you click on it you can hover your mouse over the lock icon on the right side and it will tell you what you need.

  10. Funny thing you say that, I wouldn't say the rain catchers was nearby as such but maybe within a 50 block radius from each spot. So would be the common thing as the 2nd water block in the sky didn't show up until some time after the 2nd rain catcher was placed. My thoughts though was something to do with them as never seen these issues before as never had used rain catchers previously.

     

    Yeah, I think it's a bug related to those rain catchers. Mine is about 40 or 50 blocks away on the other side of the trader. I buried it in a hole 2 blocks down and 2 blocks wide with the top open (as suggested on this thread) in the middle of my small garden. I think that water has to go somewhere so it's just popping up randomly within 50 or so blocks. I thought from the beginning it might be related but your post pretty much cinches it I think.

  11. Have you tried getting rid of the tree that is right by it? I'd try that and also try digging a hole in the ground and placing some blocks there to see if it makes it go away. I've never seen that before and also agree that it is pretty cool, lol.

     

    Yeah, cutting down the tree only makes it shorter (because there's no branches for it to cling to I guess) and I've dug down to rock and the water keeps coming. If you look at this latest screenshot I think it's getting bigger. Notice the block of water way up in the sky. I don't think that was there before - lol!

  12. Hey Khaine what's up with crafting Fort Bites? I have Physician 4 but it's still locked at the Chemistry Station and all other stations it says "Requires Lead Car Battery" and/or "Requires Chemistry Station" but no station has a slot for a battery.

     

    OK, I figured it out. It's the "Working Wall Oven" that you need. And it has a slot for a battery. This mod needs a guide - or at least a FAQ:smile-new:
