They made them accelerate slower. But they still get up to normal speeds. I did lower the top speed on a few of my vehicles to try and keep it balanced with vanilla.

I tried the semi and humvee in A21 b324 last night and had no audio except a brief deceleration noise. The XML points to the correct sound file, but I have no way of knowing what's in there. I have never messed with Unity3D files and do not intend on touching somebody else's fine work. Stock vehicles work, no warnings or errors in loading the mods, and the only mods loaded are the humvee, semi, MD500, and UH-60. I cannot test the helicopters yet as my character cannot build them yet.
Yeah, copypasta strikes again. Haha. Got it fixed, Git is updated, Nexus is under way. Thanks for the catch!

By this token, why even post? Your points are only valid to you and "maybe a few others that agree with the changes, but that means nothing to anyone else."
If people are refuting your points, that means something. If you don't like having your points refuted, don't make stupid points that have already been refuted.
This crap happens every Alpha release. It just happened once the dew collector was shown off. Now comes the second wave of people who don't follow that close and weren't aware of the changes. Unless you are refuting TFP's points for making these changes, it's meaningless squabble. And they have their reasons and I doubt a few upset people on the forums are going to do much to sway them. I'm sure there might be more balance on it all before it's all said and done, but I doubt it will be very massive changes.
1 hour ago, Renathras said:I want to respectfully say go F yourself, but I try not to be so crass. I will say the two posts you've made in reply here have been you being a pretty big jerk, though. I've been playing this game for years. I have every right to complain about it changing into something it was never original, nor seemingly intended to be when I paid money for it. If you don't like that, stay off the forums. Nothing wrong with not reading forums, as it sounds like the forums aren't for you anymore.
Forums are for more than just people thinking the game is ruined. It's just that lovely time when all the complainers come out with not enough experience with the changes to really know what they think. I just get tired of every new thread being a rehash of the same nonsense. You say the game is you have the "right to complain about it changing into something it was never original, nor seemingly intended to be". And that is? It's still a survival crafting game with some rpg and tower defense elements, same as it has always been. If someone not agreeing with you makes them a jerk, maybe the forums aren't for you.

Seems like from your post above you're just yet another one of those people that is mad you can't post on the forums without pushback from people making good points and refuting your arguments. Maybe these forums just aren't for you anymore. Nothing wrong with moving on.
I don't care how people play the game. You're the one complaining about how you feel you have to play it. What good points? All I see is people mad because they can't have a chest full of murky water on day 1 anymore. Or that they don't get their precious jars back, even though you never got other consumable's containers back. There are literally people here saying that because a field of dew collectors can draw screamers, the game is broken. Stop overreacting. Or, you know, go back and play an older version of the game, which TFP has been kind enough to allow, and just be happy. Or mod the things you don't like about the game. Anything more productive than this. Again though, it just really sounds like the game isn't for you anymore.

People aren't "crying about it", they're making valid points and arguments.
Your own point about "all workstation type things" has already been refuted, had you bothered to read posts before replying to a thread with said posts in it. You might not have restated a point that's already been refuted, if nothing else.
Except I read the OP and that's what I'm replying to. I don't have time to read the walls of text you're putting out there. It isn't that important. From the posts I skimmed people had just started turning this into another "A21 sucks!" thread and I'm not wading through that garbage to find the one or two useful posts, sorry. They're "valid points and arguments" to you and maybe a few others that don't agree with the changes, but that means nothing to anyone else.
26 minutes ago, Renathras said:Hell, the post right above yours - MY POST - even directly refutes the argument. As I pointed out, the Dew Collector was meant to replace gathering water by hand to slow and gate that process. And gathering water by hand didn't generate heat, and you could get 125 water all at once doing so.
Uh...that's the point, man. It was TOO EASY before. So they made changes. Adapt. Or don't play anymore. Or mod it out. I don't really care. Reading through your above post you're just yet another one of those people that is made you can't build some stupidly simple base and survive forever. Sounds like the game isn't for you anymore. Nothing wrong with moving on.

Wow, this is still going? People really will complain about anything. As mentioned before, all workstation type things are supposed to generate activity. It was absent on the dew collector altogether, and apparently bugged on the other stations. They fixed/normalized this. Stop crying about it. A dew collector causes a third of the activity as a forge or workbench. It ain't that bad. The sky looks nice and secure up there from where I'm standing...

Are both your clients and the server now on b323? There were changes with this build regarding how vehicle speeds and torque are set. But there is at least one post in Support with the same issue, but I didn't have any issue in my SP game, though I didn't spawn any vanilla stuff till after today's update. Worst case, try spawning a new one and see if that fixes it?

They changed how vehicles torque and stuff is set up. That's what broke the mods. Mine has been updated at least. But I fixed mine on the same world I used to test back in b317 and once I fixed the values for my vehicles they worked fine. So not sure why vanilla vehicles wouldn't update properly as well. Maybe try spawning a new one in and test it.

I was about to say "TFP broke the turbo, torque and max speed properties with the decreased rear movements and stuff"
I just changed my own QoL tweaks this afternoon, and was banging my head, saying "And bdub JUST finished his!"Well, I went ahead and updated all of them. I have to recheck a few as someone told me with the supercharger mod there are a few that are maybe too fast now. So I gotta figure that out. But if another EXP bricks these mods they likely will wait for stable as I normally do. Lol.

Yes, they reworked the torque and turbo properties for vehicles. I have the AIO pack good to go I think but the individual mods might have to wait a bit. That's a lot of headache for something that could be broken again tomorrow.

Should be fixed now.
5 hours ago, Lasher said:Odd and not sure if this has been reported before but sometimes when flying any if the helis you seem to hit an invisible barrier and start taking damage.
Mainly seems to happen in multiplayer.
It was happening in A20 as well.
Not near map borders, just randomly happens every now and again.
Anyone else had this issue?
Likely the game/server is right on the edge of not keeping up with loading new chunks. I've had it happen in vanilla with the 4x4 once in a blue moon. There's a reason most vehicles are as slow as they are.
14 minutes ago, TantraMan said:Being a semi casual modder of 7d2d and only doing swrver side modlets at that; I was curious if it possible to use the new semi+trailer shape model and turn it into a massive, but slow moving storage vehicle.
Perhaps the trailer could have multiple access points for the storage to help eliminate large storage issues?
Not sure how possible that is right now since vehicle buffs seem to be broken. It could easily be ripped from the game and made into a new vehicle but that wouldn't be server side at that point. And multiple storage containers on one vehicle wouldn't be easily done, and likely not server side either.

Should work fine on an existing game, you just won't get the POI.

Just a heads up for those interested, the individual vehicles mods are not updated. I'm just now going through and updating links.

Mostly just a port. Changes were to the new progression system, traders/loot, and particles.

Alright, Bdub's Vehicles has been upated for A21E! The individual vehicle mods will come soonish. Links in the OP!

Power attacks have had that effect for a while as far as I know. You lose the stamina from the attack and your regen is halted for a second or two. Haven't messed with A21 much yet but would imagine it's still the same as it was.

Have you tried updating to the new version of Unity A21 is using and exporting them again? Or is that what you've done already? 2021.3.19 is what the game is now using.
1 -
Yeah, not being able to use those blocks as storage after looting is an odd decision.

Uh...

Just posting this to try and cut off any questions as this happens every alpha...
I will not be updating my mods publicly until A21 goes stable. Maybe just before once we know stable is imminent.

Top notch as always!

Most mutant places now have meatbags and other gore around. Others aren't meant to stand out. Be cautious if you aren't sure what inhabits a POI.
NPC damage will likely be reworked a bit for A21, but they will likely stay pretty deadly. Bleeding and stuff isn't a thing as they currently can't fix it(AFAIK). If that functionality gets added then they will be able to. But as it stands most debuffs bounce off of them as it would make it too easy to cheese them.
I'm not a fan of spelling everything out. I only added the Rad bit because Alter gave me a clean way to do it, and because getting to a rad poi and not having gear meant it was impossible. Raider POIs aren't impossible, just challenging. Just stay prepared and you should be fine.
Fire is relatively new to me, so I will be making changes as I see fit. There are extinguishers around, and will be in more places in A21 as I have time to do it. Not much I can do if you let an entire POI burn down. The fire spread/damage does allow you a bit of time to rush through if needed. Lag I can't help with, but sphereii is always making things better. If you dislike the fire so much, you can always disable it. Screamers are a feature of it, but in my testing I had a hard time judging just how quickly fire would spawn them.
I decided to use the impact as the vehicle repair tool mostly as it isn't easy to get usually. Why is it only an issue with the bike? They have nuts and bolts the same as a car. Besides they can be found working more often than most vehicles, and are still quest tier rewards also.
That is intended. I kept it hidden as I hate cluttering the hud with buffs. So I won't be adding it there, but I can add it to the item description I suppose.

Yeah, the snake in game is almost definitely a rattlesnake of some sort. It's Arizona, so a western diamondback I would assume. So it really should have a more serious debuff, even if it isn't something that kills you. That said, I did mod that in that they make you sick and debuff you. TFP have mentioned doing more with animals still, so maybe they will do a pass on them soonish.

Huh, that's odd. Might be because you're a new account still. Maybe try it in a PM and see if that works.

See, the problem is you guys are mad at TFP for something a single person said. Anyone who has followed the game for a while knows Rick is usually a bit overly optimistic about dates. You can also usually see Prime's facial reactions to Rick giving out dates. Don't hate on the entirety of TFP because one of the owners had hopes of it making it out in May.
And when they feel they have a date in mind, I'm sure they'll let us know. But I'd bet they don't right now, so no posts. Expecting them to come give you a date is entitlement, which is ironic considering the posts above. Just chill out and relax. It'll be here soon.

They do. It's intended. I had made some custom sounds but I was running into issues on dedis where the sounds kept cutting out. I need to try and figure it out but I've just never had the motivation. And Wasteland started taking most of my modding time.
