  1. Looking for suggestions to tone this down a bit, as it seems to suffer a bit with balancing. Either by removing some of the modded mobs or editing some xml. I'm 30 minutes into a playthrough on a tier 1 quest at a pass 'n gas. In walks a demo. GG. 2nd run, same situation. A different pass 'n gas. Another demo. GG Seems ridiculously unbalanced, considering I was in the starter forest biome.
  2. I copied the 3 files from the Player folder within the save. I got it sorted out though, so hopefully any future people with similar problem will see this. I was moving my character from a different sized world. I was playing on a 10K, but moving to a 6K. You have to note the location of your new character in the new world. You then have to move your character in the old world to the same position before you exit. Then, copying the 3 player files works, and everything is normal. In my case, it was spawning me in outside of the existing world. That's why the random snow biome was occurring.
  3. I discovered the world I was playing was pretty badly generated, so I've attempted to transfer my levelled character to a new one. Started a new game, saved, then copied the old player files over to the new save. I'm getting all kinds of wonky errors though. Firstly, it converts the chunk I'm in to a snow biome from plains. Right in the middle of a plains city! I've tried selectively copying files different ways for many attempts. I cannot transfer my character to a new world though. Have TFP made this impossible now? This USED to be such a simple thing to do in the game. I've done it many times in the past.
  4. Thanks for the F3 info. I still don't know how these blocks are providing stability though. Here's 2 pics of the same block covered up. There are 6 air blocks below it, so how does it work? When I say "air" though, it's not empty. You can't place anything under them, as something is occupying the space.
  5. Anybody able to tell me what this block is? I've googled, to no avail. It gives "magic" stability. There's no visible blocks between them, but they transfer stability between them. I first noticed them when looking over the recent aircraft challenger map. I guess they're useful for adding stability to higher floors without visible columns. They're interesting, but at the same time irritating. You can't shoot through the invisible blocks that support them. I got so frustrated when every arrow kept breaking before it hit the cop...
  6. I responded to you, but it needs moderation because it has a link in it. After remapping crouch to "c", it works. Silly oversight that needs to be fixed.
  7. Ya, just tried it again. Apparently, TFPs don't like when you remap keys. I like most normal people remap the crouch to Ctrl. (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/916373-pc/80302415#:~:text=I generally use Ctrl but, that C works well also.&text=C for crouch just makes, over "hold to crouch.") I had to remap it to C for it to function. That seems like an oversight in the game. Thanks for your help!
  8. Nope. Doesn't work. I also considered that it was bound to the toggle crouch function instead of regular crouch, so also tried that. I cannot move down in the prefab editor... But at least you've given me hope that it IS supposed to be possible.
  9. This is going to seem strange, and probably has a really easy answer: How do you move DOWN in the prefab editor? I use space to go up, just like in god mode, but ctrl doesn't go down. I can press Q to exit god mode, but that just drops me to the level I'm on. I want to go lower. I'm obviously missing something here...
  10. Thanks for the answer. Is that written somewhere in the game that I missed? Or can it only be discovered through XML snooping?
  11. I was breaking down some shelves in a POI, and I noticed that the block damage doesn't seem to be accurate ( I'm playing with increased block damage if that matters). The Iron Pickaxe takes 6 hits to break the shelf. The Stone Axe takes 11 hits. According to the block damage listed for each tool, the Stone Axe should do it in less hits. It doesn't. It takes nearly twice the number of hits. Is there some hidden bonus with T2 tools?
  12. I believe this method still works the best: You'd each just need a separate shortcut.
  13. Currently reconstructing Dishong Tower as I tend to restore buildings when I get bored. Note the line of windows that exist from base to roof. Why is there destroyed concrete where windows would have been? Please fix. Sad Panda. Also, if anybody has an idea of what that nurse's level corner was meant to be, please help. There's a door which I can't figure out. Perhaps a waiting room?
  14. I just encountered Lisa Trevor. Was wondering if it's possible to take her out or is that one of the mobs you have to just avoid. Certainly isn't possible with "knife only" like you said. She's immune to shotgun slugs and sticky grenades as well. Two clips of headshots from an AK couldn't take her down either. My next attempts will be with the rocket launcher or make some HP ammo. Holy....
  15. Thanks. I had read your similar comment on a YT video so already knew that. I'm currently much further into the mod. A couple of suggestions in spoilers: Overall, this mod is so impressive. Congrats. It's also BRUTALLY hard to be honest. Thank goodness I backup my save frequently. I've also learned how to cheese the crimsons in smaller numbers, so that helps. Keeping the mansion free of them is a definite plus.
