  1. I'll take a look when possible... I know energy has some problems when it's near a chunk frontier, not sure if that's the case for either of you. NOTE TO EVERYONE - Farm animals were indeed bugged, but I think I fixed them. And here's another small tip to you guys, before next patch. Build some roofs for your farm animals.

  3. Farm animals are being fixed, since the bug was finally identified. 1) some ranges are in xml, some are harcoded. I can tell you out of my head that plants look for water in a 7 block radius, and NPCs look for food either inside their own inventory or in a 16 block radius, give it or take it... It's a good idea not to have too many fridges near survivors, since they will look for the closest one, and it's harder to keep multiple fridges with the correct supplies... Also remember they don't need direct access to it, like the animals, so they may find one on a different room and try to use that one... I will review this procedure when possible. 2) there are a few way actually: find the farmer npc and finish the quest, be lucky enough to loot one (VERY rare and only drops on one place), or be lucky enough to get one on Pacco's slot machines. Quest can only be done once, but you can loot more then one... They are not currently breedable, but since Tormentedemu is making nice stuff with mounts, who knows maybe they'll get to be a lot more useful in the future. IMPORTANT NOTE TO EVERYONE: next patch will bring weather seasons. It will all be configurable via xml, so that server managers or individual players can opt out of it or configure their own season distribution. The patch is not far away, so I thought I would give a heads up to let you guys discuss that with your groups to make a decision before it drops.
  4. As I said, they are both made by survivors. Specifically mechanics. The receipts are not on autolearn list, so you will need to acquire some and teach them... My advise is not to try until you skill them all the way up.
  5. Solar cells are only aquired in traders or craftable by survivors after you teach them. Unless i'm forgetting something
  6. <saves>/<gamename>/MorteAnimals Remove your .anm files (there should be quite a few). Worst that can happen is that your animals will lose some progression. That means it will take a bit for them to start breeding again and to stop running away from you, but it's possible that wont even happen. I'll make another animal review soon, after I get pass yet another tough work period.

For people with problems breeding animals, my advise would be to clean up your animal files. The worst that can happen is for them to loose some progress but they may start working again. All my test server animals are still breeding and i haven't Priorized that particular problem.

  9. There was a quick patch to address bee items and sniper bandits, but due to some internal disagreement it wasn't anounced. Its still available for both client and server, and i've been too busy to touch any modding, unfortunately. As for animals they're still working on my tests. Try picking them a placing them again, but i'll check them when i can. We will be doing another official patch soon enough, i hope.
  10. Survivor will suffer a slight redesign, because of shared containers... Just need to recover some strength and gather some momentum, as other funnier things keep popping up.

  12. Let's agree to disagree. I don't know the demand for that, for I don't feel any urgent need for it. As you said, being a game about survival you need to watch for warning signs, not expect them do be delivered to you...

  14. I mean a sniper. It's a bit more futurيstic, but the use mechanic is cool to mitigate its "power". I don't know if we'll change it or not. Depends on knowleadge and availability
  15. No, no plans to update any gun at this moment, and it wont happen before A17 for sure. There is already a 50cal sniper rifle ingame.
  16. That's no typo... That's the original class name for SDX, and everything was made with Windows in mind, not Linux. It's already fortunate that it works in Linux without needing a specific build... Just clarifying with it's builds like that and why I don't see it as an error that NEEDS urgent fixing, not trying to be a bitch or anything.
  17. Check kitchenWorkbench, bigoven, science station and moonshine, just logged in to check... At this point no idea if that will be the final version or not, but hey... As for the animals, I won't be able to check anything for a while. Maybe I can do it by Friday, maybe... If you don't wanna risk them, pick them up until then.

  20. Bees: 1. They will spawn in hollow trunks for now. Rare. 3. No 4. They need to be planted. 5. As specified in wiki, golden rod and chys... something:) Animals: 1. Right now, they serve as pets that you can control like dogs. Maybe more in the future. 2. They should count as animals, sَ yes.
  21. That's a different issue, didn't have time to address it, sorry PS - made a patch for the 16.0.0.32, client only, just to tweak an animation synchronization issue with the bee hive.
  22. You can either delete all files in the folder (the animals will reset stats, including tamed ones), or delete files older then a few days. Since they weren't working, deleting dog files shouldn't be a problem. Deleting recent anm files can cause some trouble, since some can have farm animals that are already reproducing at a good rate, but its not catastrophic.
