merlinfire
Right now I think it could use a little tweaking, reducing the timer to 30 minutes is a start but there are more things that can be done 1. Reducing stats from dying is fine, but reduced intelligence should not make you forget how to make stuff. That's super-annoying. You can find yourself unable to even make yourself new tools to replace the old ones you lost. 2. Maybe there can be an item that, when taken, takes X time off the debuff timer to mitigate some of the effects. Maybe a side effect of the full size health kits, or some other drug. Jugginator
I always though eating good foods/vitamins/etc should give some benefit. Would help use up the stockpiles of food I inevitably have.
25toLife
There are some consumables/wearables that boost attributes (such as Nerdy Glasses and Coffee for Intelligence). These boosts are capable of counteracting the losses from Near Death Trauma albeit only slightly. Bit of a band-aid, but might be what you are looking for. With that said, I agree that losing Intelligence after death is very annoying seeing how closely it is tied with your ability to craft.
