Quick question on the second coming of trash bags

That's a horrible thing to do. Garbage bags don't respawn but they will respawn loot based on your game settings. Thing is, if you travel through an area with loot containers you left empty, it resets the loot timer and they take that much longer to refill UNLESS you leave something in them. Even 1 plant fiber in a garbage bag, locker, w/e will protect the loot timer. Then if enough time has passed you take out that item, exit the loot for a couple seconds, and it should go back to UNTOUCHED.

Loot containers themselves do not respawn. The loot respawn setting determines if the loot container will spawn more loot after a certain amount of time has passed.

If you play multiplayer: don't destroy trash bags. Unless it's in the way of a build or going to be inside your base, it's considered bad form to destroy loot containers.

If you play singleplayer: it's really up to you. If you play with loot respawn off, you can destroy empty loot containers and it will not matter; they will not spawn more loot no matter what. If loot respawn is on, you may want to leave them alone. Trash bags give brass items and brass cannot be mined like other metals; it is "finite" and can only be gained from certain loot containers and zed drops. If you like to use guns, you will eventually want for brass; I guarantee it.
